Bears vs Commanders in a banger of a primetime game Not really even sure what to expect tonight. Bears stink. I think Rivera is awful as a HC. Rumors are swirling that if the Bears get spanked tonight the Bears HC could be out already. Who knows.
It is thrilling if your team comes out on top at the end of the day, though. Well, maybe thrilling is the wrong word. More like a sigh of relief; but yeah, a garbage game that has no meaning as to the Jets season, it's harder to sit through for sure, ha. I call games like those the cure for insomnia. If you turn it off and go to bed, you'll be staring at the ceiling. If you watch it, it has the effect of hearing Al Davis ramble when he was a couple of years away from the kicking the pail. Zzzzz, wha . . . ?
Too bad I already used the Commanders in survival. I'm deciding between the Dolphins and Lions. I hate picking Dolphins but it really seems like a no brainer, especially if Andrew Thomas and Barkley remain out. If they both come back, I may switch to Lions, but sadly, the phins at home looks like a lock, regardless. I really wish the Jets pulled it out last week. Would have knocked out 3/4 of the pool.
I picked the Lions this weekend so I can use Miami next week vs the Panthers. It would be the 2nd road game in a row for Carolina and the 2nd home game in a row for the fish.
Howell’s a pretty interesting air raid case study for other NFL franchises. Plenty of arm for the NFL but nothing spectacular. And he runs like he’s in quicksand but he is a nifty I guess. But he can read a defense pre-snap which is what the Air Raid is all about and figure out where the ball should go. These AR quarterbacks usually panic if their pre-snap read is wrong and fail in the big leagues. He’s faired pretty well so far. This is why I’ve always been an advocate for the Jets taking cracks at these guys in the mid rounds. At the very least they can read a defense before the snap and run a pro offense. See the light box, run the ball, see the corner sagging, throw a short stop, etc.
The jets and giants are the only 2 teams to have not run one offensive play with a lead this season . Thanks Vic dibetetto for that wonder piece of knowledge
Games like last night make me believe this league is completely rigged. Vegas controls all scoring. Love it!
Was really rooting for a heartbreaking come back by the redskins. Only because suffering like the bears are going through are the only kind of things that make me feel better about being a jet fan.
