There is no way he stays after his rookie contract is done. He wants and deserves to be the focal point of the offense and he only got 5 touches!!!??? He has proven that he can go the distance on almost any play. They are trying to prove that Zach and Hack is a thing at the expense of losing the game and one of our greatest drafted Rb’s.
They threw it 55x. They weren’t going to ground n pound to a victory. A lot of their throws were just extensions of the run game too. cook just shouldn’t touch the ball anymore
The plan has been to limit Breece in the early part of the season coming off his ACL injury. In a couple of weeks his rushes will ramp up and Dalvin can enjoy a hot dog or two on the bench.
I hope so but I think it’s well established that his knee is fine and he doesn’t need to be limited. Cook just runs into the pile like a crash test dummy. Hall actually finds the hole. The difference between the two of them is very stark.

I can understand easing Hall in to a degree. But when they get the red zone he doesn’t see the ball. Wtf? That should be the time which you do use him

You can't run the ball when you're behind as much as the Jets were. Yeah, you have to run a few plays to try to keep the opposing defense honest, but once the Jets fell behind 17-0, you knew Hall and Cook would have an easy night.
Agreed. I don't why they picked him up. The rookie running back looked great in pre-season and he hasn't played at all.
They picked him up because Breece is coming off an ACL. Playing running back is more than running the ball.
Many of you have made great evaluations of the situation. Even when we are down big I think it’s more likely the Hall pops one for a score or gets us into Ff range than Zach doing so. Breece has hall of fame talent. I think the lack of touches is hindering his progress.
Breece is in his second year and coming off an ACL tear. He's not thinking about leaving over lack of carries. We he leaves it will be the Jet way, because our team sucks and he's tired of losing.
I thought Saleh said Breece was off his pitch count this week. I predict we'll see him carry a bunch more starting in Denver.
