https://x.com/rapsheet/status/1703356271229849789?s=46&t=VS880J0IhNDM96by-G_mZA Said Dr ElAttrache has a new method that can heal his Achilles in 4 months. Also says he’s been face timing with Zach this week to overview the game plan.
Not only are we going to have to deal with the typical nonsense surrounding a wildcard push but now we get the added bonus of the chatter surrounding Aaron Rodgers potentially coming back and replacing Zach who was at least average enough to get us into the wildcard race.
Rodgers will be the only player out for the season who makes sure he still gets headlines every week.
Moose just had a doctor on that said there is a new Achilles surgery where they bind more stitches to the tendon so rehab can begin a lot sooner than previously having to wait for the tendon to fully attach. Something like that. He also said 5.5 months would put us at the SB and that was what Cam Akers did - 15 years younger. Regarding the two posts above, meh, let Rodgers grab some headlines. Dude went down on a season ending injury on the first series and he’s the first free agent in a long time that seems like he was dying to play well for the Jets and Jets fans. He can have a couple headlines for all I care. The thought of him coming back might keep the defense and GW a lot more engaged too rather than turning on ZW like they did last year.
The hatred towards Jets in some fans is crazy. Hate the owner all you want. Doubt the coaches all you want. But don’t hate a prime player like Rodgers who chose Jets above everyone else.
Full tear. You won't find anything else from credible sources. Here is something interesting though: Akers did not play, but he was cleared and activated just 5 months nearly to the day after surgery. Also, that was two years ago. It's not out of realm of possibility to think in two years perhaps further advancements have been made in the surgery by that same clinc. Rodgers of course is older, but he is also not a RB. I think at the very least a mere benefit of the doubt, a slight possibility of Rodgers' return for play-offs, will give a lot more motivation to the guys to actually make play-offs. Not to mention it sounds like he should definitely be ready for full off-season program. This is good news all around, even if chances to have him play in play-offs are slim to none. Now, let's make them play-offs!
If Zach has a passer rating in the low to mid 90's and we make the playoffs, do you yank him and put in Rodgers?
If the Jets play well enough to make the playoffs, why the hell would you even consider playing Rodgers at that point? Unless of course the script calls for upsetting the Jets apple cart twice in one season. Hey, the NFL gift wrapped Peyton Manning a Super Bowl victory in his last season, which was probably his shittiest, so anything is possible when manufactured drama and story book endings are a huge part of the league's marketing strategies.
Playoffs? I don't care what Saleh says but Zach sucks and the oline sucks. Top 5 pick next year is whats gonna happen.
