Yeah yeah, welcome and so forth. Straight up. It’s just. . . this thread makes me pine for the days of RaiderJoe.
Best of luck to you, let’s hope we get through without any serious iniuries. And of course, a Jets win!!
Welcome @Grouchy Smurf! My brother is a Cowboys fan, so I've always had a favorable view of the Cowboys. Not sure how this week goes for us though. The rest of this year boils down to the same question we had going into last year, "what can Zach Wilson do?". Unfortunately for us, we all have a very good idea about what Zach Wilson will do and it's generally not good for us. With the defenses both teams have, I don't expect this to be a high scoring game and I also think it'll be closer than the Vegas line has it at currently (think we're around +9/+9.5 as of now) but I don't have a ton of faith that we can pull this one out. Hope I'm wrong! Good luck on Sunday and let's hope both teams get through the game healthy!
welcome! as you can see from our poll we really don't think we have a shot without rodgers. we can win against the lesser teams, but the better teams we can't compete without a passing attack
Welcome. so who will be at the game this Sunday? Anyone buying tickets last minute? Which apps do you prefer?
You're from Brooklyn and you called the coming game a "match"? "Chop it up"? Had you pegged for one of those guys from across the pond.
Yeah, I understand where you were going but not where that vernacular came from. And I was born in Brooklyn, never lived a hundred miles away.
Born in Brooklyn but only there a couple of years; then Long Island. And you? Is there some Caribbean behind that vocabulary?
Welcome Grouchy Smurf. I always like hearing from the other side as long as they're not just talking trash. I've never been a Cowboys fan, going all the way back to when the Packers beat them to get to the first two SBs (although they weren't called that then). One of my main issues with Dallas is that the practice of coaches calling most/all of the plays began with him. I think it was a terrible practice that should've been outlawed before it infected the entire league. I'm a firm believer in "Let the players play", and hate coaches micromanaging the game, but that's the way things are now. I also hate the whole "America's Team" hype...it's never been deserved. In any case, I'm glad you joined us here and I look forward to your posts.
I'm born and raised in Flatbush. Moved out here 12 years ago. I was asking what part of BK you were from, but "only there a couple of years; then Long Island" kind of paints a picture for me. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you're white. Because "chop it up" is just Black slang. Not Brooklyn slang (whatever that is). It would explain how you associate the phrase as foreign because you didn't understand it. No worries though. https://www.vikings.com/video/chopping-it-up-i-still-got-that-in-my-bag https://foxsoul.tv/shows/chopping-it-up-with-oakley/ When online, I try to be as articulate as I can. Especially on a message board of opposing fans. I'm too old to argue with screen names.
