Forget the historical significance of the number of playoff appearance over X number of years for a minute. Answer this:

Does a good coach make sure he has 11 men on the field, not 10, during a playoff game?

Does a good coach implement an offensive game plan that produces a first down sometime before the game ends?

Herm is funny. He says he wants a ball control power running offense, but completely ignores the offensive line.... just like he did here. It's gonna get real ugly for Chiefs fans next year.

I'm shocked that no one has responded to this post yet.

In those games "w/o their starting QB", Damon Huard had 11 TDs to 1 INT. He went 5-3 as the starter; as opposed to Trent Green who went 4-4 as the starter. Herm Edwards still insisted on sticking with Green as the starter, even though it was clear that the offense was functioning better with Huard as the starter.

Edwards is very stubborn, and will always stick with the veteran, instead of giving the back-up the chance, even if he is either the better player and/or having a better season. The way you stick up for Herm is unbelievable, and quite honestly, idiotic. So why don't you take Herm's c*ck out of your mouth, and look at football like an educated football fan as opposed to a single-minded Herm lover.

I'm not defending Herm, but it's not at all illogical to prefer to play Trent Green to Huard. Huard's hot hand had basically ended the last game he started and Green is a proven NFL top QB. Huard is an old proven back up. This isn't like Bledsoe went down and Tom Brady stepping in, Huard is a proven NFL back up JAG.

Herms record of firing his assistant coaches continues.

Chiefs fired quarterbacks coach Terry Shea.

ESPN's Len Pasquarelli thinks this is the first step towards a major overhaul of Kansas City's offensive staff and concepts. Herm Edwards may make it a point to get rid of the design Dick Vermeil left behind. Shea was very close to Trent Green, whose base salary is $7.2 million in 2007.

Whoever didnt see this coming please raise your hand??????

    Bueller, Bueller??????

Maybe Shea can go back to Rutgers and teach Mike Teel how to not suck.

Herm is 'moral' and believes in a just and kind 'God'. That is why he blames others for his failures and throws his coaches under the bus to save his own skin and keep up his image as a 'pious' and 'just' man!

Why can't you see that this is what God would do!!!!!!!!!!?

That is where you guys misinterpret what I say, b.c I defend Herm does not mean I think he is a great coach. I think Herm is a good coach, I think Mangini has a chance to be great- I am very happy w/ Eric and wouldn't trade back.

He was replaced afatre a bad game in Miami then Green came in and they won 2 straight including one over Denver. I don't think Treent Green is very good but Damon Huard has a track record of being bad, I could see what he was thinking although i would have made a move back during that Indy game.

sorry if it hits you as shocking but coaches usually have faith in their QB to the point where they stick with them through Think and THin, THrough the toughest situations....its hard to play when your unsure about your future, so he assured Trent he would have one (Future).. Just Like Drew Weatherford in FSU, he is always being taken in and out for Xavier....and Weatherford sucks....
