Camp opened with the issue still unresolved. The shifting of a massive $58.3 million option bonus from 2023 to 2024 pushed Rodgers’s salary to $1.165 million for 2023, but it came with a gargantuan compensation package of $107.55 million in 2024.

    Waiting on the numbers.

Typical Florio putting the old numbers in his header though to confuse the normal fan who thinks those are the new numbers and not the numbers from the options.

Got excited when I woke up this morning and saw the tweet. I thought they'd fully ironed out the numbers.

    Classic Florio clickbait.

Rodgers said in his post-practice presser today that the details of his reworked contract will come out today.

Hopefully it's as good as we've been led on to believe.

He legit just gave the ultimate middle finger to the packers. $35 million less in GTD and spread out over 5 years if they want. The cap hits in 25/26 on the old deal were BRUTAL

Did he really take $35 million less? Not good with contract details.

Dude took one look at the offensive line and was like "I value my life more than 35 million dollars!"

Wow. Guess the beat reporters were onto something back when the trade first went through.

I thought he might take a slight pay cut but 35M?? Wow.

Yes $35 million less guaranteed but it looks like theoretically he could still make all of it if he played the full 5 years. A $35 million dollar FU to the Packers!

He is technically taking less money over his old contract. However, he increased his guaranteed money by about 15 million. It's pretty much win/win because he gets more money if he retires after next season, but were no longer over next seasons cap, and even have some wriggle room. The only way we really lose if he gets hurt his dead cap is now 66 million.

Aaron Rodgers just dispelled the notion that he's all about the money.

Yeah $110 gtd vs $75 on this deal.

The Jets can spread that $38 next year out over years 3/4/5 if they wanted too and can add even more pieces if they wanted to go even more in. Last contract the dead caps in 24/25/26 were absolutely brutal. I think 2026 was almost $40 or more. This is a homerun
