    2020 MVP Rodgers Supporting Cast:

    QB 2: Tim Boyle
    WR 2: Lazard
    RT: Billy Turner

There’s a chance Brown and Turner are our starting OTs this season. Sure Becton can play backup to Brown but what’s an offer you would would take for this new and improved Becton?

I would take a 3rd, but I think Joe will probably swing the equivalent of that 2nd round pick. He just knows how to work the phones.

The longer it goes, the less I think Becton is with the Jets in week 1. I don't see them trusting him with Rodgers.

I wonder if JD is feeling out the market but not in a hurry as an injury here or to a starting LT would affect interest.

Given he's only under contract to the end of this season then the next team will pretty much have to have an extension agreed before the trade officially occurs.

With that in mind and given his history of availability - I can't see anything above a third rounder with maybe some kind of conditional 5th, 6th or 7th thrown in if the other team is desperate enough.

Why would they trade the starting LT?

Nothing. Guy is the most talented tackle on the team if he can stay on the field.

The upside of him being on the field is infinitely greater than trading him for a 6th round pick. Funny things happen in contract years.

Nothing. Were not deep enough at tackle to trade one now.

Nothing, because there's no way I'd trade Becton. That would be a huge mistake imo.

Yeah…my feeling is that he can be a very good OT if he can stay on the field. That’s proven to be a HUGE if with him. Maybe now that he’s lighter he can do it.

Personally, I’d prefer to keep him and see if he can stay healthy, and if so, can he be a dominant player.

Then, if he does play and plays well, we will have to face the next decision as to what to do with him contract-wise…franchise tag, sign a new deal, let him walk, etc. We won’t be able to trade him as this is his last year under contract.

Still, I think the potential upside of having him play well is better than trading him now as I don’t think we’d get much at this point…I’d be surprised if we even got a third round pick for a player who’s missed more time than he’s played.

I don’t think we’re deep enough at OT to trade him away now for a mid-round pick…

If it were my call, I’d just keep him this year, let him compete for either OT position, hope he wins one of them, hope he stays healthy, hope he plays well, and then figure out what to do with him next offseason…I’d be wary of giving him a huge deal as I’m not sold on his conviction and motivation, and I’d be super concerned that he could potentially loaf after he gets a huge deal, but I don’t know him personally like JD does…and we can always slap the franchise tag on him if he does well to give us bargaining leverage for a potential trade or favorable long term deal if that’s the way JD wants to go

I would also keep him. His value on the team is potentially way more than the pick we soldt get.

If we had too, it would have to be at least a 2nd... And on the other side I don't see many teams that would do that.

I wouldn’t take a damned thing. He will be the starting RT. It’s a long season.,

He looks great... except for the knock-kneed thing.

I don't want to trade him, I would rather see If he can turn into the player a lot of people think he can be.

2nd or 3rd?! Sign me up. He’s had one injury riddled season where he suffered a decent amount of sacks and proved he was an elite run blocker. That season was many years ago in football years.

If a team offers you a 5th or less you pass because we have a two year window and the upside is worth more than what a 5th can give you next year in that window. A 4th would be tempting.

Y’all are smoking crack if you think someone is throwing a first through third flyer on a guy like Becton.
