Cook has been cut, so no need to trade for him. I wouldn't have wanted to trade Carter and Knight for Cook however, Cook is nearing the expiration date for RBs, and Knight and Carter can play for quite a few more years.
Probably for good reason. He’s toast. I’d take him for dirt cheap and give him 8-10 looks per game but that’s about it.
Elliot is durable but not highly productive at this point. I'd definitely take him as part of a RBBC however that's a journeyman's role at a journeyman's salary.
Thanks. I thought he had been signed already, but I guess maybe I was thinking of the LA Chargers RB Ekeler. Too many names beginning with "E." LOL
Cook has to be using the Jets to leverage more out of the Fins. Miami is his hometown and he grew up rooting for the Fins and the tax situation makes Miami dollars worth 10.75% more than NJ dollars.
I agree I don't think Cook wants to play anywhere but Miami or Buffalo (reunion with his brother). The tax thing is only applicable to the home games. Athletes pay taxes on wherever the game is played.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Cook. There were major concerns about him coming out of college in regards to him needing to get away from his thug friends at home. Take it with a grain of salt but he was rated as a top 20 talent with huge character concerns that dropped him into the second round because of those concerns. I wonder what happens if he goes home and links up with his hoodrat friends.
interesting, and many predicted a good gamble to get Cook and who knows how much would he have a good impact on the offense at that time.
Now he’s following Woody, Woody is following him, he’s liking more and more Jets stuff but most importantly/annoyingly… Same shit he pulled when the Zeke rumors came out. I agree with him mostly but also, time to grow up.
I think Zeke has a lot more use for this team assuming Hall can be shelved but pretty much ready to go by week 6 off the PUP. Cook’s a good player, I just don’t see him wanting to be in a committee by mid-season.
Odds are pretty good the Jets need a strong running game next season. Not because Rodgers is not a great QB but because he'll have a huge target on his back if the Jets can't run the ball well. Most of the Packers teams that were any good in the last 15 years out-rushed the opponent.
