I know right. When you have a Jets player with the same as a cat in Harry Potter it can only mean Championship!
I had never heard of Cruikshank until you posted about him in this thread. Additional competition and possible depth at S/CB can't hurt!
Agreed. I think it will also be Williams and Jefferson at times (3rd and long) and Williams and Clemons at times. We could also see Woods and Clemons in the red zone inside the 5. I know that Saleh likes Thomas and has a degree of trust in him, but I'm hoping that Thomas doesn't make the final 53. I'd rather see Clemons take his spot at DT and use Thomas' roster spot for a player that deserves it more.
Just bumping this. Watching this front may be as exciting as watching AR play QB for us. Also we supposedly turned down trade offers for Bryce Huff.
Love Huff. His get off is near elite. Would love to know what was offered..... I've read a lot saying no way we can afford him next year........if someone offered a 2nd, we should take it, no?
Should be fun on both sides of the ball. As high as the expectations are for our new quarterback... it's our defense that is gonna win us games.
The Jets put a 2nd round tender on him and no one bit so it seems unlikely that they would offer that now. I think teams saw the Jets with a lot of depth at the position and tried to get Huff for cheap
I'm probably in the minority but I still have some reservations about the defense. I think teams will attack it with that short/quick passes and we will have a hard time stopping it. As statically good as our defense was last year, it came up small in a few spots. The Lions game is a prime example. Other teams are going to exploit our linebackers and that concerns me. I hope Saleh/Ulbrich have an answer.
Like others stated, I doubt anyone is offering a 2nd. But I'm more concerned about this year anyway. This DL has a chance to the most disruptive we've seen in decades.
I actually had the same thoughts. The short and intermediate pass game is going to the area that can hurt them.
NO! His get off IS elite, not just near elite. In a year that we're "all in" why on earth would we want to trade him. A future 2nd round pick will not help us get to and win a SB this year.
