Playing Buffalo week 1 kinda evens out. Breece Hall likely wont be back or 100% from his injury but for Buffalo the same can be said about Von Miller
It took Barkley a couple of seasons before he regained his old form last year. I don't expect Breece to do all that much this coming season TBH.
Opposite for me. He's young enough, and got surgery early enough where I feel he can be a force right away. Sent from my IPhone 43 using Tapatalk V.86
Every player is different in regards to recovery. You could be right but from what I understand Barkley’s injury was pretty bad …
Completely different injuries. Barkleys injury was more significant w/ a meniscus strain as well. They also had to wait nearly 2 months for the swelling to go down and also did rehab to strengthen the knee before surgery. Barkley also suffered a high ankle sprain the following year after his ACL return so of course his injury was going to take way longer to get back to 100%. Barkleys injury is more in line with JK Dobbins and Javante Williams recovery schedule than what Breece had happen. I wrote this here on October 24 of last year, after Breece tore his ACL
Douglas has drafted a RB every year he's been the GM. It has nothing to do with Breece returning. He will be 100% by week 1. Breece Hall had an ACLR and meniscectomy (not repair). From surgery date to week 1 is 9 months 27 days. He will be ready.
@KingRoach @dawinner127 can yall link us to the reports on breece's surgeries? i cant find sources anywhere
Obviously these guys don't have his medicals, but just going off similar injuries + what is reported by the team + time frames of injury/surgery. Barkley and Breece both had about the same time of surgery to start of the next year. https://twitter.com/SportMDAnalysis/status/1655991258563608580?s=20 Barkley fits the same mold as Breece in terms of a young, 90+ percentile athleticism type player. His issue was he messed up his ankle week 5 vs Dallas. He never got a chance to finally "be himself". Barkley was ready for the season and played week 1. https://www.mdorthospecialists.com/blog/grading-your-acl-tear#:~:text=A grade 3 ACL tear, injuries are grade 3 tears. I have no idea if Breece had a grade 3 tear. I don't see that anywhere, but I'm just going to roll with it since it is the most common type. All I know is that Breece ACL was a clean tear which is fine. He had didn't blow out his knee with anything else like Javante Williams or JK Dobbins (who had a ton of setbacks).
You mentioned Barkley’s injury was worse bc he had a meniscus sprain as well. My point is that a meniscus tear is worse than a meniscus sprain. I apologize for not spelling it out more clearly in the original post, I thought it was obvious.
Idk about surgeries but I like this site for injury histories. https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/breece-hall/12577
@dawinner127 @All Gas No Shake To clarify my position, I HOPE Breece is 100% week 1 but I don’t EXPECT Breece to be 100% until mid season and I wouldn’t be SURPRISED if Breece starts the season on a 4 weeks of IR.
Front office is concerned about Hall's availability as well otherwise they wouldn't have drafted Ibanakanda (sp?)
https://jetsxfactor.com/2023/05/11/ny-jets-breece-hall-sports-suregon-comeback/ Deepak Chona is a Harvard-trained sports surgeon who does data-driven analysis for FantasyPros. Chona says, based on machine learning and past running back ACL recovery data, Hall is predicted to have a “strong comeback.” Elaborating further, Chona says Hall fits the “outlier mold of RBs who recover faster.” The main reasons for this are Hall’s youth, 96th-percentile athleticism, and high draft-pick status.
