Very good move I been asking for a big DL, and specifically Woods, for awhile.
We need one more big interior DL in addition. Solomon Thomas at best a backup, and JFM more of a situational interior pass rusher imo.

This defense is now a Kwon re-signing and a Rodney McLeod signing away from being dangerously good. Like lock for Top 3-5 unit good.

    You don’t think -
    Lawson - Q - Woods - JFM
Is a big enough line to stop the run?

Solid pickup should be good in the locker room as well.

330 was probably his combine weight from15 years ago.

Depth and rotation. It’s a long season.
It’s an area with opportunity to improve.

I see depth but do you really see that many teams running on us where we need to rotate 2 big men?

He weighed in at 310 at the combine when he came out.

For a big dude Woods sheds blocks like a ninja and charges for the offense like a ravenous lion after an elk.

I don’t think we need another 340 pounder like Woods.
But another true IDL is needed, maybe 300lb range.
Absolutely love the Woods signing, and is an upgrade over Sheppard.
However we never replaced Fatukasi, and also lost Rankins this offseason (although no big loss really).
I’m not a fan of Thomas, gets blown off the ball.
Need one more player for the rotation, and to hopefully improve the run D from last year.

It's probably in our best interest. The Jets don't have a lot of luck with really huge guys running around.

As others have noted, Woods is solid at clogging the middle. The CS will have to be mindful with load management, given his age and weight. If they handle him correctly, Woods can be a solid contributor all season long.

We didn’t replace FF last year and our D got better so…

I think he's more like Kris Jenkins personally.

Hopefully the shade doesn't involve Jenkins' knees. I do think that Jenkins was better at getting home, while Woods is more of a run-stuffer type. But also, Woods is coming to us a bit healthier, maybe/hopefully?

If I recall correctly, we gave a 3, and a 5 for him, and while it wasn't a long tenure, he was surely dominant. I doubt Woods will be as good, but from what I've read, and seen, it should be solid depth, makes a few nice plays at opportune times.

Yeah it was so good that we just signed Woods as a priority, after also attempting to sign Cox and Campbell.

There’s no point in discussing roster improvements with you, as any suggestion of doing so is met with your hyper sensitivity that the roster is already perfect.
Tell us more about how we didn’t actually need any Oline help.
