Yeah maybe he can get a job with greenbay they owe him one for sure. Without his help they wouldn't have gotten jack shit for AR

You’re right, but we saw what happened when Mahomes had a patchwork OL in the Super Bowl. Even the good ones need serviceable protection or they’ll struggle to make plays.

This probably sums up the thought process behind this pick better than anything else.

The 2nd round pick could be a tackle or guard. We'll see.

I don't follow college football so I don't know many of the people in the draft and certainly not this guy BUT who's to say he won't play left OS LB, a position of need. Hopefully he gets after the QB and with his speed they could teach him to cover TE's or pass catching RB's which they aren't very good at doing. I'll take a wait and see approach as to how they use him.

No idea if Becton is healthy but Becton just turned 24, if he's healthy that helps missing out to the Steelers.

F Bill belicheat for screwing the Jets yet again..

Hurts not to land an OT.

This kid has potential, but I don't love picking older players in round 1... He turns 24 in June. Never seems to work out, these guys are men playing against boys...

The Jets get OC John Michael Schmitz in rd.2 and tonight becomes a little more palatable.

JD screwed the Jets, not Belichick. The pick swap did. Belichick got the guy he wanted and gained additional 4th. He just made a good move for his team. JD didn't when he added a pick swap. #13 should have been off limits. Not to the same degree but this reminds me how we lost #1 overall pick when we won two games end of year two years ago. Instead of Lawrence, we ended up with Zach. Again, this is not to the same extent, but larger point applies.

I much rather drafted Will Levis and had him sit behind Ar and develop than this kid, We still don't even have a decent backup Qb incase Ar goes down next year. Jd is just a idiot.

Looking around, several sites that discuss draft prospects list NFL comparables, and for this cat, they're listing Dwight Feeny and Randy Gregory.

If he holds up to that, this is a great pick! Of course, these sites tend to shy away from listing Aaron Maybin or Vernon Gholston as anybody's comparables....

Will McDonald didn't even expect to get picked that high. Listening to an interview with him. What a bad pick at 15...

There is a decent chance we could have gotten him in the second round, maybe a slight trade up. What a disaster to lose Jones on needless pick swap

    You have the interview link?

This feels a lot like the Jermaine Johnson pick last year. I didn't love that one as I can't really think of a 23 year old pass rusher getting picked in round 1 and thriving in the NFL.

Quinton Williams is in his 5th season and is just 1 year older at 25.

I always wondered if fans of Super Bowl contending teams pissed and moaned about draft picks or if it was only fans of teams that needed to nail the draft to succeed. I have my answer. Good lord, go to bed.

I don't think many Bucks fans complained about drafting OT Wirfs to protect Brady. In fact, they traded up a bit to get him. We traded down needlessly from the spot where a similar player was there to lose him. It's the opposite of what SB contending teams do.

We just reached badly in our first round, have no first rounder next year, and you think Douglas the moron will save the day in the second round. He'll probably draft another DE.

I am not against taking a pass rusher with the fifteenth pick but I am puzzled that we chose this particular pass rusher and why we didn't think we would lose him if we traded down.

Would we have chosen the same one the Packers did if we were picking at # 13?

Hoping I am wrong for not understanding the pick and that JD was right.

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to loving some of these posts of despair.

    I can’t wait till we pick up Becton’s 5th year option…. Muahahahah
