Sign me up. I don’t buy the distraction bullshit at all. If they weren’t spending time doing interviews and shooting scenes for Hard Knocks they would be screwing around doing some thing else anyway. Would love nothing more than an inside look at this team.
Why not. The Jets are going to be on center stage with the local/national media especially once football season gets closer. There will be no flying under the radar this year.
I said this in one of the other threads, but I'm completely torn. I absolutely do not want them to do it because of the distraction it is. That being said, I absolutely want them to do it because I want to see as much of my team as possible and it could be completely fascinating. I guess I'll just have to go undecided and acknowledge that Brook is quite the handsome chap.
There are a bunch of folks who love to pull my leg on this board. By putting that disclaimer, I am aiming to reduce Undecided votes.
I think sure let's do it as long as they don't invade people's privacy if they don't want to be part of it. Could go either way so I settled with the option that Brook is the most handsome who ever lived
I will always be selfish and want as much quality behind-the-scenes material as I can possibly get on the Jets. So I'm not thinking about the distractions, I just want to see as much as possible of the Jets. And the One Jets Drive stuff gets tiresome with its refusal to ever look at negative issues - hopefully a Hard Knocks series might be more rounded and therefore more interesting. On a related topic, have they stopped doing those All of Nothing documentaries? For a while they did a different NFL team each season and they were always really interesting. I would sign up for one of those too.
Hard Knocks is like football porn. I prefer to have a little mystery and don't need to see everything to get excited. If the Jets finally deliver on their 54 year quest, the added exposure of Hard Knocks will just be a distraction away from that.
But if the Jets finally deliver, then the distraction won't have been a hindrance... and you'll have more to look back on to appreciate the season.
If making the conference championship game is distracted then I hope we do Hard Knocks again and we’re even more distracted.
I have now voted! Edit: if forced to decide, I would probably vote no, only to keep what will no doubt be insanity at the lowest level possible. But there is no doubt that it would make for must-see TV.
