I don't think it's a bad trade if we get Rodgers for 2 or 3 years (which it sounds like we are), especially depending on how far he takes us. If we win a SB it will be the greatest trade in franchise history.
Vindicated seems to be a strong word for what was low-hanging fruit. Statistically being against any QB is always the favored position.
If Zach was like Trubisky or even Sam, then I would agree with you. But he was generationally bad for a top 5 pick, so the people who were against drafting him deserve some kudos.
