If JD failed to get Rodgers, he'd have rolled the dice on a young center from the draft. But with Rodgers coming here JD didn't want to risk having a rookie on the line and went with Vet leadership.
I think Wypler in the 3rd, will be nice to have a born and raised Jets fan at C. Of course this means they would have to trade back to add that pick so we'll have to wait and see on that.
It’s cheap and it’s a good signing, but McGovern sucks and was probably overpaid from the start. Before you even look at the fact that he’s often out leveraged when he’s moving side to side, I’ve never seen as many free rushers as I’ve seen the past couple years. That’s all poor communication by the center. I am going to guess the Jets are keeping a close eye on camp cuts. I thought I remember seeing something about Ryan Jensen being a potential cap casualty.
