Like last year, this year Jets and Giants are co-hosting the draft. Jets side of the events are described in below link.

This year we are picking 13th so it is worth to go to the stadium for me. Haven't been there past 3-4 years for draft. This year I will go.

Anybody else planning to go? If so, make sure to download your ticket thru below link.

I went to one of the first ones years ago, and had a good time. I think they drafted Quinton Coples that year. So, that’s how long ago it was.

Tickets for the event are free, but getting them puts you on the list for sales calls.

I used to enjoy draft day ALOT more before the NFL whored it out into a stupid 3 day prime-time event

Yep. Twelve rounds in one day. You really had something to talk about after that.

I’m surprised they haven’t spread the Super Bowl over four days yet. Six hours of pregame show, a quarter of play, then interviews with all the coaches and players and expert analysis of what we’re going to see in the second quarter, tomorrow.

I went once, I think it was the Leonard Williams draft, and it annoyed me that not long after the pick they started to close things up and kick people out. I wanted to see the rest of the first round. There's always the possibility of trading up and having another Jets pick. That bothered me.

LOL. Just give the NFL some time and they'll figure out a way to make it happen.

Yeah I would kind of like to see the draft again like it was in the 80s and 90s where it looked like the NFL offered a venue the money in their pocket to setup pipe and drape to do it.

What I came to hate about the draft over the years is how shamefully moneygrabbing it became. It used to be old school with a handful of drunks in the crowd, dressed down, blue collar kind of vibe. Now it's a 30 day affair. I'm not averse making money, mind you, but it's barely watchable. So there's that part.

The other part is what the player profiles have devolved to. I guess they have to add more filler to justify the running time of this charade. Anyway, a couple of years ago, I swear to God, the announcer(s) would say some snippets and stats and numbers blah blah and then they would invariably say something really personal one player after another after another. "His mother was stabbed to death and his grandmother got run over by a train. This young man has had a hard life." "His father got shot in an armed robbery and he bounced from foster home to foster home. No-one ever adopted him." "His entire family died in a car crash and he grew up with a lot of food insecurity. He was homeless for quite a while."

I'm not making this up. I know they try to humanize these young men like their not just pieces of meat but it's awful and should be handled another way. I'm going, "And I'm supposed to know DETAILS why . . . ?" It was making uncomfortable almost, like I was being FORCED to rubberneck at the scene of an accident by virtue of having it on. At one point I even turned it off.
