Nathan Sheperd is off the team. It's a miracle he stuck around at all. When he did play you could count on a penalty from him. He can be replaced by a cadaver. That would be an upgrade.
For the record, The roughing the passer penalty against NE that cost us the game was the biggest pile of BS ever. JFM was spot on. An absolute joke by the refs. Nathan was a waste of a roster spot, yet some people now bemoan the fact he was such a great back up DL and a big loss for us. Not in the least.
Am i crazy wasn't this guy one of the least penalized players on the team last year? Dont get me wrong im not a fan of his. He was meant be rushing defender and was deff below avg last season but im pretty sure this guy had like 2 penalties last year
In 2021 Shepherd committed seven penalties. Now that seems like a lot but it is even worse when you consider he only played 42 percent of the snaps that season. That means with fewer opportunities than most defensive linemen, he still racked up the penalty count. Another fan simply said, “overpaid.”Mar 18, 2023. Every time I saw him he committed a penalty right off the bat. He should have never made the team.
