We signed Boyle, former Packer, Lion, and Bear. Strong arm QB who has appeared in 17 games over the last 4 years. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/06/jets-agree-to-one-year-deal-with-tim-boyle/ He's the new Mike White. Better look sharp Zach.
Boyle has appeared in 17 games with three starts since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He was with the Lions for most of the last two seasons, though he was signed by the Bears off Detroit’s practice squad late in 2022. He appeared in one game for Chicago, throwing two interceptions on eight passes. Not exactly promising.
Going thru a personal issue. Can't share much but he is healthy. Let me tag him, maybe he will see and respond. @FJF
The guy literally had a 0 passing rating last year in the only game he played. Granted threw only 8 passes, but he did start 3 games the year before and didn't do much better. I guess he knows the system so maybe he is there in more of a player/coach capacity for OTAs in case Rodgers is not there. But thy guy stunk when he played. I don't think he is a serious candidate for a 53 man roster.
He's somebody who knows the system. Was terrible at Connecticut and then transferred to Eastern Kentucky and did not play. Odds on him being a player are probably much worse than 1000-1.
