Help me out folks. Help out poor Brook!

I never knew about Pat McAfee until the Rodgers-Jets topic. Who the hell is he and why is he close to Rodgers? I tried to google but tons of data to read for me. Can somebody who knows the situation explain in a few sentences?

Hmm... I don't know. Obviously the guy has a high level of narcissism (most people at that competitive level do) but I kinda interpreted that as character asassination damage control. I mean look at all the horse said (and believed ) on this board alone. I'm sure the dude still wants to be endeared by GB and fans

I'm sure this will probably end in a JET crash, but fuckit.... time to enjoy the ride. LFGJ!!!

He spent 2 offseasons telling GB he wants to retire. Said he was leaning 90% towards retirement before his retreat. Then claims, "something changed while I was in my retreat and suddenly they didn't want me anymore".

Like it had nothing to do with, "Even though you paid me the farm, I don't know if I want to return, so I'm locking myself in a dark room for 4 days to decide". The guy will be epic. He will create drama and when it comes to a head say, "whats with all the drama. I was just minding my own business?"

Any new subs are probably running for the hills. Can't blame them.

Didn’t he retire to get a job with Barstool?

Edit, according to Wikipedia: On February 2, 2017, after eight seasons, McAfee retired from the NFL and stated he intended to join Barstool Sports as a contributor. He cited his recent knee operation (his third in four seasons) as a factor in his decision, as well as his fractured relationship with Colts' general manager Ryan Grigson.

Totally agree about some fans but for me, nothing really changed today. I’ve been getting the vibe for a while that the Packers are the hold up:

Remember the off-season started with 2 1st rd picks being floated

Most recently reports that a “deal is done” and the Packers rebuffing that it isnt.

I think everyone is ready but the Packers who are holding tight to what they want.

I’m glad there have been of cheap trades for vets and top players like Ramsey and Waller but I think the Packers are going to need a kick in the ass to move things along. I don’t want JD to overpay….

If Rodgers doesn’t play contract hardball (with the Packers), I could see us waiting till after the draft and threaten (or really) take a swing at Lamar.
