I answered the question you asked. I never said Fitz was the best? I did get lucky about QBs, maybe one time: https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/the-downside-of-zack-wilson.95429/ What are your credentials?
Fitz in 2015 was great by Jets standards, but by NFL standards, he was league average. Favre was giving us superior QB play in 2008 until he got hurt. Pennington didn't play the full 2002 season, but he was great then. Testaverde in 1998 was great. O'Brien had a couple really good seasons. And Namath of course. That's about it.
One thing about Farve's Jet career that gets glossed over. People say his injury caused our slide. That's not entirely accurate. Farve threw way to many INTs trying to force the ball into coverage downfield, like it was a playground game. Several games that we were controlling turned tides because of this. It had nothing to do with being hurt and more to do with hot dog decision making.
We've had so few since I've been alive. Kenny O'Brien - 1986 Vinny - 1998 Chad - 2002 Favre (pre injury) 2008 Fitz - 2015 Those have been good years, but not one was a GREAT year. Now we have a PISSED OFF Aaron Fucking Rogers with a chip on his shoulder. How did he play the last time he had a chip on his shoulder? He won a goddamn MVP.
Geno Smith had a pefect QB rating in a game against the Dolphins in 2014. Jets quarterback Geno Smith has perfect QB rating vs. Dolphins - CBSSports.com
Yeah, I posted his stats during that 8-3 stretch. You are trying to push a narrative that is just a fallacy.
They better make some moves on suring up/adding depth on that oline … or this could end up being one of the most painful times to be a jet fan. It was getting qbs in their 20s killed last year, hate to see what it can do to a 40 year old
