Good move here for the Jets!

This tweet explains what that entails:

I could see teams making an offer on Huff. He has real pass rushing talent, the stats prove that. I would hate losing him for a 2nd round pick, If I'm honest. I think he's a very good asset for our team. A needed asset for our team.

He’s much more valuable than a second rounder. Proven commodity. Not sure he’s worth $4 mil but I’d also assume they would work out an actual multi year deal.

Yeah, I would hate to lose him as well…he’s a very good situational pass rusher. I don’t know what a typical salary for his kind of player would be, but the $4M doesn’t sound outrageous to me.

I would much prefer to keep him at $4M and work out a long term deal than let him walk for a 2nd round pick

This guy has turned into an absolute steal and is a good guy and player. Never hear anything about him doesn’t talk a lot just works hard and plays hard. Sign this beast to an extension JD

Win win for Jets. Really like him, hope he stays, but if he's signed elsewhere, we receive a 2nd for an undrafted guy we coveted early on and developed.

They really need to keep this guy. He gets pressure all the time. I would cut Lawson instead. He is grossly over paid and the production is less than minimal.
