ESPN: Jets approach Packers for Rodgers Trade

If Woody wants Rodgers as bad as the rumors are saying I'm even more worried than before. Its giving GB all the power and if Woody wants to go all in on this than kiss the 2020's goodbye.

 

Woodys gonna give up 13 for GB throwing in $ and probably overpay in future years for the same.

 

I hope JD can talk some sense into him. If GB will eat 20 million I can see us giving up 13 plus a 2024 conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st if we make the playoffs. Fearing that things are going to slip into the epically stupid to make our epically stupid owner happy.

 

We lost some leverage with Carr gone, but GB also lost a lot of leverage as the Jets are the only ones interested in Rodgers. And judging by the fact we didn't sign Carr, I just think JD feels he can get Aaron. GB and the Jets may need each other to do this. And I don't think it will take #13.

The Jets desperation for Rodgers has been palpable. I shudder to think with Carr off the board what Green Bay is gonna want from a team that has their desperation on display. I know I'm gonna be pissed if they give two 1st for a guy pushing 40.

 

I'm okay with a 1st this year kick us back a 4th or 5th rounder and a 3rd or 2nd rounder if he plays in 24' for the 2025 draft which is now allowed. No way two 1sts. Love his ability but he's a flake

 

If they give up 2 first round picks for a 40 year old QB, Joe Douglas would go from darling of the league to a laughingstock immediately.

 

Green Bay has $58 million reasons to want to get rid of Rodgers if they don’t believe he can win them a Super Bowl in his next two years. Based on their last two years there is no reason for GB to expect that.

I fail to see how GB has any leverage in that situation unless they want to waste that incredible amount of money on a player they don’t seem to even want and isn’t going to win them a championship again before he hangs it up.

 

As I understand it, Rodgers hasn't even told the Packers what he wants to do. Really all he wants is drama and headlines and everything to be all about him.

 

He was trained by the best.

 

I still find it funny that Mr. Irrelevant closed the door in SF on him. That's the only team he ever really wanted to play for.

 

Rodgers gets a pass... Why? Because he's the Kwisatz Haderach!!
