NFL linebackers are also only unfortunately allowed to unload on certain quarterbacks like that without a flag and they know it. He’s not hitting Mahomes like that.

The Jets really need to start looking into drafting guys in the 5th and beyond like White and Bailey Zappe and such. Cooper Rush is another example. Guys that have played tons of college ball and snaps.

Backups need to run a capable offense when called upon and play don’t fuck it up football.

I don’t know if he’s made of glass necessarily, not too many guys could’ve handled the hit he took. That said it definitely was his own fault, and he has zero future here at this point. He needed to stay healthy and get us into the playoffs. If he did that he’d be getting a lucrative contract right now. Now he’s looking at a backup job somewhere and has to hope he gets another chance someday, but that won’t be here.

Actually, Jim Miller talked about White taking the hit that broke his ribs and how it was one of the hardest hits to a QB he ever witnessed and was very surprised that he got up at all. It was not a routine tackle that folded the guy in half.

If I'm the Bucs I'm calling Mike White the second they are able to.

Better options out there to be grabbed but I could maybe see the Cardinals making do with him until kyler returns.

Hope the guy gets a decent pay day, he deserves it.

Bets there's going to be plenty of teams that give him a call.

The hate for a backup Qb like Mike White is baffling.
The dude has avg'd 298 yards/game. Go look at 1st rounders Mark Sanchez, Sam Darnold, and Zach Wilson - guys who are much more deserving of ridicule...

He also played in games with a terrible oline, no offensive weapons, bad conditions and hurt.

Through it all, his teammates love him and he's flatout balled in some games...

If the Jets don't bring in a vet, then they most definitely need to being back Mike White.

He's the only young Qb the Jets have had behind center in years who at times looks like a legit NFL starter.

Some QBs are good at avoiding the big hits. MW is not.

Agree... M White has been the best option at QB, and when he's healthy he looks like a legit starter. To see how Wilson, Flacco, and White all shared the same team, OC, but only White was able to make all levels of passes.

I'm very confident in saying if we had a healthy Mike White we'd be a playoff team.

The guy has thrown 8 touchdowns in 8 games. That looks like a legit NFL starter in any way to you?

Good call, I think he lives in Tampa in the offseason. The Bucs are a great fit for him

Im so baffled at how any NFL team is a "great fit" for a guy that couldn't get off the pine for four years and then had two straight seasons of the same disappointing pattern.

I know him, he's a future hall of famer, no doubt. And he owes it all to his former head coach and recievers coach

If anyone can find the audio please post it.

Jmo Mike White is a great backup, would love to have him back at the right price.

He's a back up and VERY replaceable... the bigger issue is that we don't have a starter.
