He should get in first ballot. Best corner of his generation easily, and yes Jets fans I know he was a pain in the ass with his contract demands.

If Revis doesn't get in on first ballot, he could still be waiting when Sauce Gardner gets in!

He was amazing those few years. I thought he should have won DPOY the year he faced basically every big time receiver and shut every one down.

Revis 2009 was the best the CB position has been played in my lifetime, if not ever (when you consider how the rules have been changed to favor the offense)...

He didn't have the physical tools Deion had so ya, he studied his ass off and knew the receivers tendencies and understood the angles well. If not 1st time HOF something is rotten.

Revis's Super Bowl ring with NE is such a bitter pill it makes crow taste like ice cream by comparison.

If he doesn't get in first ballot, he's going to hold out until 2028 etc etc

Congrats to Darrelle Revis and good luck to him tonight. He is definitely getting in, as he is deserving of a 1st ballot entry for sure.

I never liked his Me-first "Mevi$" attitude, but he was great on the field. Then I really did not like him winning a Super Bowl with the Patriots. It was actually painful to watch.

However, his time as a New York Jet (first time around) is fully deserving of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Winning with the Patriots is just icing on the cake for him individually, but I will choose to pretend it never happened. :D

Revis is definitely the most talented Jet player I have seen in my lifetime. Proud of him.

It’s pretty crazy how unanimously disliked Revis is by Jets fan and I don’t see any problem with it. He really set the franchise back in terms of negotiations with players for a long time. But by the same token he may have had the greatest coverage season of all time and perhaps two of the top 5, 6, 7 in consecutive years. Sometimes franchises need to give a guy a blank check when they’re legendary performers.

I think for him, bouncing around to so many teams in so few years ultimately did tarnish his legacy a bit. He also felt like he had all the makings of transitioning to become an above average safety but I don’t think he wanted to play football for that long.

Still a great all time player and Jet. But man it could’ve been so much better on so many fronts.

Before Revis came into the league, with QBs Manning, Favre and Brady throwing almost at will to their WRs, the "experts" were saying that there was no such thing anymore as a shut-down corner, the last one being Deion Sanders. Then along came Revis and proved them wrong, there was now a shut-down corner again. Deserves to be in HOF.

The holdouts didn't sit well with fans and understandably so, but it was fun to watch him shut down the top WR on opposing teams. Take the good with the bad.

He deserves to be in there, but I'm not going to applaud him whatsoever.

Yes, the hold outs and tough negotiations were annoying from a fan perspective. But I never hold it against any player for going after every penny they can get, so no hard feelings from me. In his prime Jets years, he's one of the best players I've ever seen, period. Well deserved induction, and really excited to see him get in first ballot.

He'll have the least INTs of any HOF Cb if he makes the cut... ( which i dont think he should)

Always glad to see a member of the Jets get in. That being said, Mevi$ can suck it. He was never all about the Jets.
