Why give up $100M and possibly two 1st round picks for just one year guaranteed. I see shades of the Favre fiasco all over again, but at a HUGE cost. Get Jimmy G or D Carr, and use the 1st & 2nd round draft picks we save on an OT and C.
That might be the most sane thing about AR, you'll ever see/hear. It's probably something a young QB on the Jets, should consider. All I'll say is, don't knock it, until you've tried it. .

Most people can't sit without external stimulation for 40 seconds, let alone four days. Until you have a lot of sitting experience, a meditation retreat is basically just one neurotic meltdown after the next. Say what you will about A-Rod, but darkness retreat is one of the bravest things a person can do, imo. (And it's not sitting in a dimly lit room, btw. It's pure blackout darkness. No time outs to confirm sanity.)

Rodgers has been my favorite QB for years, he's one of the smoothest passers I've ever seen. However, this makes me not want to be part of his shenanigans. I'm not even talking about his personal stuff, you do you. But, this yearly hostage situation shit is really old. amazing that after all these years of completely inept play at QB that something like this matters to jets fans at ALL.
Spending time in the darkness contemplating the future is pretty good preparation for joining the Jets.
