Nice list! I would move it around a little:
    1. Rodgers:cool:
    2. Carr :)
    3. Garoppolo :)
    4. Tannehill
    5. Wilson :) (If those top 3 don't pan out, Zach deserves another shot as he has more potential than the rest, but I could see Tannehill starting out the season)
    6. Mayfield:confused:
    7. Darnold
    8. Brissett:(
    9. Dalton :(
    10. White :(

I agree up through Wilson, but if it goes past that, I don't care any more because obviously the Jets are a second rate franchise that can't even attract C-list talent.

Yeah to some extent this is my list and its just been dawning on me the last few days that we are probably going to have to start picking out a rope here at some point.

Chances are probably extremely high neither of those guys (nor Garrapolo for that matter) end up being a Jet. Carr has pretty heavy ties to a couple other spots it sounds like.

Thoughts on Tannehill? He can make all the throws and is mobile.

I think Rodgers is a dickhead.

However he IS the best guy we could get.

I'd replace 4 with Brissett otherwise your list is my list

Where does the bolded come from and since when is it the job of a player to be developing anyone other than himself? The Jets organization needs to develop a viable quarterback and Wilson has not demonstrated on any level that he can be that.

The timeline for the CS to develop Zach. Him to sit and watch more.

Why should Zach Wilson be a major consideration of the New York Jets? Where did this timeline come from of which you speak?

It seems like they may want to keep him around so who knows. Maybe they get Lamar Jackson? Then it makes no sense to keep Zach but if Tannehill came here then I'd keep Zach at least the next two years.

If they want to keep Zach and develop him, that's fine, but they shouldn't give any consideration to him when deciding who to bring in, whether through free agency, trade, or the draft.

Honestly, I think the Jets fck this up and wind up with neither Rodgers nor Carr but instead, try to sell us on Tannehill and Brissett as the answer. The reality is that these guys are only a bridge back to the Boy Blunder.

I guess JD has chose Zach as the hill to die on.. SOJ

Why in the world would signing Tannehill mean snything about keeping Zach? Why would you keep Zach for 2 years? When those 2 years are up he’s a FA and he’ll be gone. There’s absolutely no value to the Jets in developing Zach any further. If they’re looking for an option to develop a young guy on the bench then they’d be much better off drafting a guy like Levis (most likely won’t be available) or Richardson and let either one of them sit and develop, so when their time comes to start we’ll still have them under contract for 2-3 more years. If sitting Zach was the way to develop him, that ship sailed already.

There’s no future for Zach Wilson on the Jets as it’s clear he will not be the starter and his contract will run out by the time we’d be able to get a look at him. And if the FA we bring in fails to deliver a playoff team the entire regime is going to be fired and the new regime will be tossing Zach on the street for their own guy.

If not AR, they should land the Qb with the best winning % that’s available. Jimmy G.

    Rodgers
    Lamar

    Carr

Trade up for Stroud or Young, whatever it takes, I don't really care.

    Tannenhill
    Brissett

I have absolutely no interest in Jimmy G whatsoever. 1) Always injured + 2) Purdy just came in and led them on what, an 8 or 9 game win streak? How much of it is b/c Shanahan is elite and that roster is loaded? I don't trust Jimmy at all. Signing Jimmy would probably make me as annoyed as when the Jets signed Gase.

Carr is definitely the better QB + has had a much better career, but when you compare these two on their 2022 season, it isn't that much of a difference. Conor Rogers made this point this morning on his Badlands pod so I went to go look it up myself. Whoever they get at QB outside of Rodgers is just going to be a point guard and distribute the ball to Garrett Wilson, Moore, and Breece Hall.
