TBH, it's hard to argue for or against this conclusion, and certainly he's a great player destined to become even better (barring injury), but how much did our shitty OL cost us? I believe that hurt us more than Sauce helped us.

 

But the OL is a collective unit so let’s say you replaced it with a top OL prospect, it’s prob still gonna be shitty as they have to work as an entire unit. Sauce literally can take a top WR out the game or one side of the field. That’s very impactful I would say and leads to wins

 

You get another CB close to Sauce in skill and it will make your DL look like all pros .

I get that, but except for a case where his INT or fumble recovery wins a game, it's hard to quantify beyond that. OTOH, adding a stud like Ekwonu to the OL with AVT certainly would've made a big difference, and more so (hopefully) going forward. There were only a couple of games where the OL played well. One of those - the 1st Buffalo game - they dominated and asserted their will on the Bills. That's what a good OL does.

I know I'm in the minority with this assessment, but the teams that win championships have outstanding OLs as a rule.

 

We don't know what Q actually was saying there. Did he say "No offense" as in they don't have an offense, or "no offense" meaning "I don't mean to offend."

 

We know what he was saying because it was in response to the 49ers losing with a practice squad level QB. He knows what Bosa is feeling having to play with an offense like that.. aka no offense

furthermore if he was just saying "no offense" to Bosa then why would he feel the need to delete it

 

They signed one. DJ Reed was unbelievably good this year and there’s a very, very strong argument to made that both he and Sauce should’ve been all pros
