Damn. One of the, if not the Greatest Guitarist ever. If you’re looking for me, I’ll be cranking “Where Were You” all night. God speed Gov’ner.

I saw him around 1983 at MSG. He played at a benefit concert for Ronnie Lane. Lots of great acts including Clapton, Jimmy Page, Joe Cocker among others. He was fantastic. My seats sucked but we got down to the lower level behind the stage. He was one of the few acts that turned around and played for the people back there.

RIP to a true guitar legend.

I saw him a few years ago. outstanding. Not a popular show with the ladies.

Truth is still one of my favorite albums.

    Wow.
Beck was truly one of the greatest guitarists ever. Probably one of the few musicians I would have liked to see live but never did.
I Wore out “Wired”, “Blow by Blow” and the Live album with Jan Hammer Group I played them so much.
    RIP

I think Blow by Blow was the first album I ever bought. That, School Days by Stanley Clarke, and Heavy Weather by Weather Report were my go-to listening when I ran all-nighters studying at end of term.

And, uh, RIP - although I doubt any of the guys above would ever want things peaceful.

Truly one of the greats. I'm glad I saw him the many times I did, including at the Royal Albert Hall.

We will always have his music.

He’s guitarist that I always had a huge amount of respect and admiration for, but I never even bothered learning any of his material. Only he can do it properly

Ran into him numerous times at hot rod events.
Look up "humble" in the dictionary and there's his picture.

Never talked music... just hot rods.
