Skylar Thompson is not as bad as you think. He can beat these Jets

I agree with the overall thought but don’t drag Phish into this. They are untouchable.

He's appeared in 6 games and has 1 start. 54% completion percentage, 382 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT, 56.2 passer rating 35.1 QBR. Yep, he's great.

If Mike White can't outduel Skylar Thomson then he has some huge problems.

honestly, i dont know any pats fans. Fish fans are way more annoying who are always so over confident with the team like they make deep playoff runs every year but haven't won a playoff game since like 2002

He’s pretty terrible. In an offense where all you need to do is hit wide open elite receivers, he’s been a total flop. That also makes him the perfect candidate to beat the Jets.

Idk we will see, he has seen action in less than favorable situations coming in mid-game. I think this is the first time he's been given 1st team reps all week. I expect Miami to win comfortably

Lose just because its the jets.

don't want to hear any geniuses talk about winning the last game and finishing on an up note.

They stopped caring after the Lions game so I did as well. A higher draft pick may improve the chances of replacing one of the quitters.

What I’m really curious to see is if they get picked apart again on defense. I feel like the Jags game wrote the book on the defense just as much as losing Breece did for the offense.

IGNORANT TALK...TALK OF A LOSER HERE FOR SURE...
You dont get over a losers mentality, by continuing to lose.
PROVE THE DRAFT PICK IS A WINNER.
    LOSER TALK.
Winning teams NEVER NEVER, think about losing to get a pick.

I respectfully beg to disagree. I live in West Palm Beach and watch a lot more Dolphins games then I want to, preseason, behind the scenes stuff included. I've seen him play against us already and right away you can see that he's a hybrid QB. He's more polished then Streveler, but then again that isn't saying much either. If the Jets lose to him then we really did give up. No way a guy of that caliber should get a win against. In comparison Brett Rypien looks like John Elway compared Skylar.

Jags seem to be doing OK... Also, even Trever aside, I remember Philly a few years ago in 2020 season lost a meaningless game by sitting Hurts. That gave them #6 overall pick instead of 10 or 11. They then traded back, ending up #10, got DaVonta Smith and got an extra 1st rounder in the trade down. Basically that 1 meaningless game gave them an extra 1st round pick. Now leading the NFC. Losers my ass.

Is it? Let's take a look at 10-11 vs 17-18 in the last few drafts.

10-11: GW, Olave, Devonta Smith, Justin Fields, Jedrick Willis, Mekhi Bectonm Devin Bush, Jonah Williams, Rosen, Mincah Fitzpatrick, Mahomes, Lattimore,
17-18: Zion Johnson, Burks, Alex Leatherwood, Jaelan Phillips, CeeDee Lamb, Austin Jackson, Dexter Lawrence, Garett Bradbury, Derwin James, Jair Alexander, Adoree Jackson, Jonathan Allen,

While there are definitely some studs in 17-18 range, 10-11 seems like higher probability shot, even with a chance to get an FQB. Also in a trade up you give up much less, and you can trade down to 17-18 and gain assets. It's quite obvious: there is definitely a higher actual asset value in a higher pick.

Rumors going around that the NFL is considering adding an 8th seed to the playoffs. Jets win, Browns win, Jags win. Hello playoffs.

I mean I would prefer they lose but historically this has win written all over it. It’s a game they have no business winning (status of Miami quarterbacks, who starts for the Jets, losing streak, opponent with shot at the playoffs..), if they lose they get a better draft pick, so of course we’ll win decisively!

There's just no way I can watch this game and not root for the Jets to beat the Dolphins. I've hated this team for so long that I don't think I would even know how to do it. I'm not going to sulk if they lose, but, c'mon, it's the stinky fish.
