Zach sucks at the NFL level, but there's no way he wasn't anything but a superstar as a kid. If he was good enough to make the NFL, he was more than good enough to deserve whatever roles he had before this one.
Back to my original point...he didn't need to improve. He was the number 2 draft pick. the knight in shining armor. The man on the high horse. First season..mixed bag with some injury stuff. Ok, I'll bulk up for season 2 and onwards and upwards. hopefully my cape doesnt get soiled. Uh oh. Why me? Why now? If he really does understand he now needs improvements in some basic stuff and some advanced stuff, maybe he is good enough mentally and physically to make them. Maybe not. But you have to realize you are at bottom, not at the top. Only then can you begin some kind of upward lift. If he thinks its everyone else's fault, he is doomed. If he realizes he has plenty of work to do, he has a chance.
People are talking about the mental aspect of the game. Is his arm really that good though? He's not very accurate even on short passes which continue to come up short on open looks. Throws behind guys a lot more then one would like. The one thing that he was suppose to have, is one of many of his biggest question marks.

Hall and AVT going down may be a blessing in disguise. If they don't get hurt, the Jets win more games and it's covers up how bad zwilson is.
Z Wilson would have been exposed one way or another. Teams would have adjusted even with a RB like Hall and force Zach to win the game. He would have been benched at some point. Now Mike White should have been starting when Zach was out with Hall and AVT. That would have been something I think most of us wanted to see.
I am still puzzled why Wilson was not pulled sooner like after the first NE game...there was no real running game and each Jet game seemed like more and more passing....and Zach showcasing how inept his second year was proving to be It's like the entire CS plus the GM were waiting for some miraculous break out performance
ZW's confidence is so broken right now he couldn't even find or hit the open hole. He really is that bad.
