Who says no? May edit later. *Tunsil has 1 year left on his contract. The Texans would be lucky to get anything back for him
The Texans are getting Young or Stroud. No need for them to trade for a retread who hasn't shown much in year 2.
Not enough value back to the Jets. I am thinking Zach for Mahomes. KC will need to eat some of the Mahomes salary though and throw in a mid round pick to even it out.
Texans 3rd string Qb Kyle Allen has been better than Wilson… We’d be lucky if they were willing to trade their mascot.
Goody, another thinly disguised Zach thread to shit on him some more. Time to move on;. It’s playoff hunting season. Let’s focus on two wins and fuck the past.
I personally am not a fan of petite QBs so I see the appeal of a game breaking sure thing like Mr. Anderson with #1 overall. The Texans could trade an asset who’s not in there 2024 plans for a gunslinger QB who the Jets weren’t able to develop. But yeah dude. Totally. Pass the bong.
What? They can keep him for entire year - the guy is awesome, one of the best in League. If they draft a QB, Tunsil will protect him from breaking ribs, unlike our shit of the OLine. Then they can then extend him or franchise tag him. If we want to get Tunsil, it will cost, and it will cost a lot. We are probably talking a first round pick if they want to trade him at all. But hey, why not give up our outcast for another team's great player. There is a small matter of their GM not being a complete imbecile though that's on the way. Jamal Adams type of trade rapes don't happen that often.
I think the Adam’s trade would be a poor comparison. I think the Hopkins trade would be a more fair comparison, Top player about to get another contract. The Texans tried to move him last year but no one matched their asking price. I’d be very surprised to see him as a Texan next year. Will Anderson is a beast who can change a game but more importantly, will sell tickets and jerseys. I don’t see drafting a smaller version of Kyler Murray as the best move for the Texans.
Oh please Zach is mentally broken and confused. His skills are not at NFL par No team is close to sniffing the Kid out
They might trade him, but the price is the 1st round pick. Tunsil is too good. Zach's value currently is a late round draft pick, and even then his contract value is very high for the developmental project type that he is now. The problem is though that now we will need to pay a QB, which will eat away CAP, while Zach is also eating away CAP and is basically untradeable. That's a lot of investment at QB position. It may be tough to afford Tunsil, while rookies are cheap (unless they are top picks). If somehow we are able to convince Texan to get Tunsil for the second rounder, I would do it in a heart beat. I just think it won't be enough.
My point was they're not trading a proven asset for a highly doubtful asset (that's getting paid like a good one)
They have the seventh most amount of available cap space next year. Why would they create a gaping hole at a premium position for a guy who would be QB3 at best on that roster right now?
