Agreed 100%. This cannot be overemphasized enough. The Jets never having a stadium, or even a crappy crime infested city, to call their own has caused incalculable damage to the franchise. As is the case in College Football and MLB, the home stadium is a massive part of a team's identity. There is a legitimate reason why home field advantage is factored into the point spread, for teams who actually do have a 'home field' that is. Being a submissive co-tenant and not having their own stadium identity will continue to make it very difficult for the Jets to rise from the ranks of Mickey Mouse organization.

Also, playing in the largest market and being one of the most valuable franchises where you have to do nothing but show up doesn't help. I would equate this to the NHL Montreal Canadiens, whose 24 Stanley Cups make them hockey royalty. Can anyone guess why the Habs haven't won a cup in 30 years? Because being one of the most valuable franchises, along with the Rangers and Maple Leafs, the Habs have their captive market and do not need to win anything. Like the Jets, they just need to show up and collect the checks.

This rant will be concluded by stating the all black uniforms should be burned immediately, as they are nothing but a cheap disingenuous marketing scam and do little to improve on the franchise's floundering identity. Already just a couple of seasons in, these uniforms are associated with yet another forgettable late season Jet meltdown.

While the team remains in the control of conservative unimaginative baby boomers, one cannot expect a solution to its identity deficiency issue, since it truly appears this is the best they can do, especially as the cash keeps rolling in. Oh well, there are winners and there are losers, but they ain't no big deal.

OK - figured it out - so saw this graphic earlier - very telling that almost half the list of the worst QBs of all time (in terms of completion percentage) were either drafted by or played for the Jets

As a few have mentioned, you missed the obvious and correct answer: the owner.

It starts with ownership, then filling the organization with NFL experience.

Poll is flawed, as the option of " all of the above" was not avilable.

BTW: a number of us blasted the jets for winning a meaningless game against the rams two years ago.

that handed the 1st pick in the draft to the jaguars.

a number of posters on here said they would rather see the team win.

where are all those people after last hight?

actions have consequences, as we all saw.

The Tuna was actually hired by Hess, as was Michaels, while Weeb was Werblin.

Rex was the only one the Johnsons got right, and he was submarined by incompetant drafting.

RESULTS count, the rest is just hot air.....
