So long McCareins, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Time for Brad Smith to step up into the #3 role.

like McCareins has anything to show. Never goes up for the ball, always waits for it hit his hands a foot from his face. Lots of value there.

i was impressed with him in the second half of the season, but honestly he was a day late and a dollar short after a total lackluster stay. not to mention being in the doghouse within the first day or two of the new coach's arrival is a pretty assured eulogy on your stay with the team.

Hmm...i'm not sure if Brad is as good a wr as J-mac is but I guess we're about to find out.

if they spent more time trying to coach him up at WR instead of having him run 30 yards during pre-snap i think we'll have a solid prospect on our hands.

and Smith is far more physically gifted, its time to let him take his lumps and evolve this season.

I look at Coles and Cotchery and I see players that fight for the ball. Players that know that they have go get the ball because the thrower ain't the strongest guy. Then I see McCareins looks who's great when he's stretching the field, but is awful anywhere else. The Asante Samuel pick is a good example of him waiting for the ball to arrive.

Agreed. Portis no longer has 1st round value due to his frequent injuries. A 2nd rounder, however, could be an option, especially if Turner isn't available for that price.

The few catches he was allowed to make last year showed great potential to grow into that #3 spot

Okay, so now that we know it is certain that Turner will cost us our #24, what RBs in the draft will be around when it's time for us to pick?

Or should we just give the Bolts our 1st pick?

I don't believe there is any way that the Jets will give up their #24 pick for Michael Turner. San Diego has to tender him at that level to protect their investment but if they move him it will be a trade for a 2nd or 3rd round pick....

They certainly didn't hesitate to use him as a trick play guy instead of a bonafide wr. Let's see if they really try to make him our no.3 wr.

There are no starting jobs in the NFL for a receiver with iffy hands and poor route-running ability beyond a flag route up the sidelines.

McCareins is never going to be more than a 3rd receiver and he's not even a good 3rd receiver.
