With our turnstile OL, I don't see MW starting.

It’s gonna be zach, but no reason to tell the Jags now.

Reading between the lines, Zach is still Number 1 (and has always been), although he plays like Number 2. If the Jets had any genuine desire to return to Mikewhite, he would have started against that pathetic Lions DEF. Looks like the Mikewhite move was designed to pacify an increasingly hostile fan base who has been hoodwinked for the past dozen years.

If the CS continues to dick around on this issue and not name a #1 guy for good, expect the inconsistent offensive play to continue through the end of the season. If they can't be assertive and make up their mind this season, one can expect a complete shitshow at the QB position next summer.

It's gonna be Zach. In the medical world, 5 days does not make a difference. At least a week-2 to re-evaluate. But might as well let the Jags think about it. Two totally different QB styles of play

They don’t have to game plan much for Zach. Play to stop the run and keep safties deep and live with what Zach gets in the short to mid game.

so true. Offense is limited w/zach. Don’t need to worry about rb’s catching passes or zach throwing from the pocket…

only time the Jets move the ball through the air are are on roll outs and broken plays.

Not naming a QB is crazy. If Mike couldnt play last week, no way will he be that much better in 5 days.

Right now, like it or not, it will be Zach. Dont F with the kids brain - just name him and help to build his confidence.

All that is not to mention that the way the O line is playing, it would be a death sentence for immobile Mike.

"The frustrating thing is that this kid is going to be a good quarterback, but the NFL and this new instant-coffee world that we're in just doesn't want to give people time. So, we look at him and he's just nit-picked with a fine-tooth comb."
Jets coach Robert Saleh on Zach Wilson

The Wilson pick will be this regime's downfall. They will keep giving him chances for as long as they can because they know that they made the biggest draft mistake in the team's history (quite an achievement considering how many busts we've had over the years) and ultimately it will cost them their jobs sooner or later.

We're so sneaky hiding who our starting QB is. How will the jags ever prepare?

Seriously, coach is probably waiting for some sign from the heavens that White can play. Which he can, if we let him.

Or is it not up to us anymore?

You’re not going to see Mike White play in a Jets uniform again unless Zach gets injured.

I said it last week and I'll say it again. A good coach (a smart coach) starts Streveler because he realizes it's not a gamble when the other two options (Wilson and Flacco) are terrible. Parcells would start Streveler.

The Jacksonville game is huge for us because its in conference. If we lose we're basically out. If we win this one and Miami we can potentially jump SD, and hopefully Miami.

But we have to beat Jacksonville.

If White comes in a delivers a heroes performance in our only nationally televised game, it would mean this for him:

We win and we lose. We lose and we lose. Losing is a part of this no matter how we slice it with White.

As others have said, they're just messing with the Jaguars. Mike White has played his last snap as a New York Jet. He'll be on to bigger and better things once his current contract runs out and he's free to escape this dysfunctional cesspool of a franchise.

The real tragedy here is that it was obvious from very early on that ZW was not going to make it. We've wasted essentially a year on him that would have been better spent with a more honest evaluation of his prospects and actions thereunto.

The reason the locker room is so strongly in White's corner is that it has been glaringly obvious that ZW didn't have the skills for more than a year now. The "Mike White" chants in the locker room last year weren't about White is going to be good. They were about ZW is really bad and it shows in every organized team activity in which his skills are on display.

The other thing obviously is that whoever evaluated ZW missed some enormous deficiencies. That the Jets apparently had no plan to correct those deficiencies on hand when ZW arrived is likely because the HC was from the defensive side of the ball and the OC was a rookie.

Even during the draft, the odds that Zach was going to pan out was always about 10%, or less.

That draft had one guy who liked like he might be a plus QB and he went on the first pick. Even his chances weren't great but they were there. The rest of the field had maybe a 10% chance there was a star QB there combined.
