They might as well play him for the final three games. We're out of the playoffs, so might as well make sure that we're 100% confident that he's a bust on the level of Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell. Meanwhile, the guy we could have drafted had we not won that meaningless game back in 2020 is going to come in here next week and completely torch our "championship" defense. As Bart Scott once said, "Can't Wait!"
The O line was the biggest reason we lost today. They were garbage. Followed by the D melting down the last lions drive... Then probably the run game or Zach you can probably flip those 2
Zach was legit the only reason we had any points today. OL was god-awful, run game was non-existent, Mann and the punt unit put us in a hole early, and then the defense lets a 4th string TE score the GW TD on a busted coverage. Not saying Zach was perfect today because he wasn’t but IMO he was the only reason we didn’t lose by double digits today.
Just way too inconsistent. A better Qb performance and that’s a win. The game should of not of even came down to a FG if they moved the ball more in the second half.
That's my take. He didn't do much to quiet all doubts about him, obviously. But this wasn't anywhere close to his worst game. I do think we win this game if White was in.
The hell you saying score was 20-17 right? His stupid interception was almost taken back and cost us 3 points right? Changed the field right? So without that interception the score woulda been atleast 17-17 right? Zack Stinks right?
Not gonna defend Zach, but come on guys, he DID have us ahead 17-13 and all the D had to do was one more hold. This one is not on Zach regardless of whatever opinion anybody might have about how well he played.
The D gave up 10 points all game. The offense needs to help them out. 17 points against a bottom 5 D is main reason they lost.
Nice coaching on that last sequence. Ran out of time with a time out in hand. Just fucking terrible. Is Rob Salah going to have dinner with that time out tonight? Maybe he will go for a few drinks with it, bring it home with him? Sleep with it maybe? Absolutely terrible... and no one can ever win with Ken Barbie as QB1. Season over.
Zach was fine, meaning he was mediocre which is the best he’s ever been. Our coaching staff clearly has no idea how to work to his strengths. Not to mention how to use time outs.
You expect way too much from the defense. Up until that point, they have given up 3 points all game to a really good offense.
I don't know about never playing another game for us - but he is not close to an adequate NFL quarterback right now. Too many wide open receivers missed. Too many bad decisions - even on big plays made (thank you Michael Carter). He's not ready to be a starting NFL quarterback, and he won't be soon. We can only hope he will be by training camp in 2023.
