I think Wilson was ripped for missing receivers on tons of short passes. I only heard him getting ripped for his vision by the masses after the pats game. I'm sure there were a couple people doing it earlier.... But Wilson was getting killed for being terribly inaccurate and it was valid.

I've also read people getting on White for the same thing.. if he starts missing the easy ones as much as Wilson was, the masses will probably pick up on it too.

That's because nowhere did I say Mike White was "terrible".

    Let's see
I think he evolved today. Even the guys who go back to their draft day opinions over and over again aren't this douchy at scale, they tend to keep it to one or 2 threads.

Everything was clicking against the Bears because they are the worst defense in the NFL

Against the likes of Rypien, Skylar, Siemien and company our D is good enough to win us games with marginal help from the O.

Against actual NFL QB's they're going to need some help and we now lack the homerun threat of Breece Hall that was giving us an actual attacking (as opposed to a grinding, clock-eating, pass-setting) run game.

At some point Mike White (who is the best QB we have in that room right now) is going to have to drive down the field late in the 4th and punch it in.

If he can do this once or twice then not only are we looking at the playoffs but he elevates himself from a do-no-harm game manager to an actual #1 QB.

Mike White may be this era’s Pat Ryan. Very capable back-up, and will catch lightning in a bottle once or twice a season. But I just can’t see him being the long term answer.

I’m hoping he stays. I want to see what he can do with a solid o line, full pre season as starter.

It doesn’t matter what people want or how much the guys like him. If he can’t win games he won’t last. The stats don’t matter. He also est gets a completion everytime on 3rd down, problem, is 80% of the time it is a check down. Did you not hear Romo at the end of the game. White was still checking down for 5 yards in the two minute drill. At times games are won by simply making a play. Flushed out of the pocket, make a play. The offense does not have that dimension. When in the red zone, it is tough sledding.

I swear you have joined this board just to post as many ME is the savior, best QB ever posts as possible. Jets are now out of the playoffs looking in. I don’t care who the damn QB is, they need to win. I don’t care how they win, ugly, 700yds passing, does not matter, just win.

I think this is exactly where I am this morning.

MW is 1000% the starter for the rest of the season, he's earned it. He's been much better than anything we've seen at the QB position probably since 2015 but I just don't know if I see a long-term answer in him.

Hopefully he proves me wrong down the stretch.

That shouldn't matter. I wouldn't care if Attila the Hun was QBing the Jets as long as he was delivering victories. That's how the GM and CS should approach it as well, because as long as the Jets win, they keep their jobs. This GM/CS bet their future on Zach. If White can't go against the Lions, it's okay by me for ZW to get the start and hope he's learned a thing or two by watching.

Agree, who cares who they like. Brady was never that well liked. Difference is he won and did his job. Refused to lose. This isn’t a frat, this is a football team.

We have to see this on all 22 and see what the read is, where he is looking. He has to follow the progressions outlined by the MiLF's scheme. I ran through the video, don't see too many great options. By the way, on the first throw of the game, can Conklin catch a damn ball that's not directly in the middle of his chest for once? Also Mims - same thing. Check the throw 5:45 of the video. Can Mims extend his arms for once and catch the ball that way? Same thing happened last time. The ball is directly at him with defender behind. Extend you huge arms and this is an easy catch. Finally, 8:25 of the video. Can Berrios catch the ball when it hits him right in the face? He used to be money on these, but now two HUGE drops in back to back games. And on that same play, it looked like Conklin could have dived for the ball after it bounces off Berrios' pumpkin.

I see a few plays where I think Mike could have definitely done better.
    - Missed easy screen pass to Moore
    - Missed Uzomah on a long pass to the lft - difficult pass (1:30 of the video), but he made one later (2:28). That btw requires great arm strength, very difficult throw, which Romo points out.
    - Sacks could have been avoided I feel. He ran into the guy the first time and should have gotten rid of the ball earlier on the second one.
    - Last drive, had to really say since these were longer passes, but would have liked to see more than 4 and out.

Overall though, I thought White had a good game against a very tough opponent on the road. This seemed to me more like Denver game, where I thought Zach was below average, but not terrible as some people were saying, because he was pressured all the time. Mike definitely did well under these similar circumstances. Too bad there was no Hall to make an extra big play or two to win the game. Instead it was Carter fumbling away the game. Defense against Denver was also a little bit better - similar, but there were no dumb encroachment penalties on 4th and 1, costing 7 points.

I disagree big time. They wouldn't have been completed and they may have resulted in a terrible interception. The weather was bad and the Bills safeties are heady players. On the other side of the field Josh Allen is one of the best throwers in the game and he wasn't taking shots downfield either

Anyway the Jets were 8-17 on 3rd downs, that's very good. They were able to do that because they weren't wasting downs by throwing incomplete passes down the field

It's funny how people just say shit like it's a fact. Did you watch the game? Like seriously.

    3rd n 8 - 10 yard slant to GW
    3rd n 14 - checkdown
    3 n 10 - 20 yard dig to CD
    3 n 4 - 13 yard out INC to CJ
    3 n 19 - checkdown INC
    3rd n 11 - 5 yard out to Conklin

    3rd n 10 - 12 yard out to GW
    3rd n 12 - 13 yard out to GW
    3rd n 10 - 25 yard fly to Berrios
    3rd n 1 - 5 yard slip pass to Moore
    3rd n 13 - deep middle INC for Moore
    3rd n 5 - 15 yard out to GW
    3rd n 1 - 5 yard slant INC to Berrios

14 opportunities on 3rd down. THREE times he checkdown (one was incomplete btw) on 11,14, and 19 yards to go. EIGHT times picked up the first down throwing past the sticks. THREE incompletes throwing past the sticks.

So, 11 of the 14 times he threw past the sticks (completing 8 btw). 3 checkdowns (2 completinons).

A mixed bag. Made some great throws but in the end, could not come through. Garrett Wilson is a stud just throw his way everytime.
