    There is NO Joe Namath curse. The fact that Broadway Joe was the ONLY QB in our history to get us a championship means he's the only QB NOT a curse. It's all the other QB's since Joe that have created a "curse" on this franchise. It's really the opposite of what you said is the truth.

    Namath sold the Jets soul to the devil for that one win.
    I have been saying it for the last 40 years, nothing that has happened since to make me think otherwise.

    Curses work in mysterious ways.
    Joe Namath is the reason I became a Jets fan, so I would never wish him ill but the Jets will not win the big one until he passes on, and the devil releases the Jets soul.

    My dad's pet theory was that Joe didn't sell his soul to the devil, but that some serious organized crime interests had major money on the Jets and someone got to Earl Morral and let him know how unfortunate it might be for his wife and kids if he didn't have his worst game of the season.
