I think part of the increase is due to having 9 home games next year instead of 8. https://pix11.com/sports/nfl/jets-increasing-ticket-prices-an-average-of-12-for-next-season/ FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets’ postseason hopes are rising — and so are their ticket prices for next season. The Jets, who are 7-4 and in the middle of the AFC playoff hunt, are increasing prices of tickets an average of 12% next year. It’s the second season in a row the team is raising ticket prices after not doing so since 2016. The latest increase marks just the fourth time average ticket prices went up since MetLife Stadium opened in 2010, but it will be on par with the league-wide average for this season. Robert Saleh’s Jets are one of the NFL’s biggest surprises, led by rookie playmakers such as cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and one of the league’s top defenses. They’re looking to end an 11-season postseason drought, the league’s longest active skid. Next season, New York’s home opponents will include the AFC East — which has all four teams above .500 — along with Philadelphia, Kansas City, Washington and the Los Angeles Chargers, who all currently qualify for the playoffs or are in the hunt. They’ll also play one team each from the AFC South and NFC South. Mike White can make case he’s the Jets’ QB of now and future According to the Team Marketing Report Fan Cost Index, the Jets rank fifth-best in value this season, based on four average-priced tickets, parking and select concessions and merchandise. Season-ticket holders will continue to benefit most, including perks such as the team’s Jets Rewards program that allows fans to use credit points — Jets Cash — as payment for merchandise, concessions and gameday experiences at the stadium. After raising parking costs for the first time at MetLife Stadium this season, there will be no increase next year. Season ticket holders also will save between 25% and 40% more on season-long parking than those who purchase for individual games.
Things you don't have to worry about when you grew up in northern New Jersey, moved when you were 30, and have spent the next 18 years of your life living in the Florida Keys. I got a big screen, pizza, Jameson, and surround sound,. Going to the games is great but I can't miss pissing that money away at all.
As a former season ticket holder, every time the Jets had a winning season, they raised the prices. It's part of the reason why I gave them up.
People were buying tickets when they were 4-13. Why wouldn't they jack up prices as soon as they peek above. 500?
The at-home experience just can’t be beat after going to games for a decade. I’d be more apt to go to games if I lived in Bergen. The hour+ drive home (without traffic) on a Sunday is just the worst.
Damn, we're living similar lives. I grew up in the Meadowlands, and you could see the stadium from my back porch. Moved to the west coast in my 30s and now watch the games outside in the sunshine with breakfast off the grill and zero complaints. Don't miss spending all that time and money at ALL.
I have a bottle of Jameson Gold Reserve about half full. In your honor i will do a victory shot from it when we win tomorrow. When we beat Miami in Miami in January i will finish that bottle.
..that's part of the scam. "SOLD OUT" when they say it on game day yet, Every day on CBS and online you're getting blasted w/ "Tickets available now!" Then you get to the stadium to realize the opposing fan base bought 40% of the stadium.
