Byz Cowboys-Indy was the original matchup for the upcoming SNF. NFL has to decide if they want to move a SNF game 12 days before the original time. So NFL has to decide if they want to move Week 14 SNF game from Chiefs-Broncos to any other Week 14 game. 2 big conteners are Jets-Bills and Eagles-Giants. I believe they will go with Eagles-Giants but let's see what they decide.
Cripes - Dolphins Chargers flexed. I ordered NFL plus on the app - plan to head to my hotel room after the day's conferences and watch but afraid of seeing the score. We'll see how this goes. Anybody used NFL plus to watch a game before?
Dolphins-Chargers is definitely a more appealing national game for week 14, only drawback being we just watched the Chargers in two recent SNF games, back to back. Connor tweeted that CBS protected Jets-Bills from moving, for what it's worth. I also think the league/NBC would want to see at least one more game with Mike White before promoting the Jets. If we had beat the Pats two weeks ago, I think it would have been Jets-Bills in primetime. Obviously, week 18's Jets-Dolphins game being flexed will be dependent on playoff/division implications and what's most appealing league-wide. Only other game worth monitoring for a flex is New Year's Day, week 17 in Seattle, which could be a massive game for both, with a Geno storyline, too.
(6) Connor Hughes on Twitter: "#Jets - #Bills was protected by CBS. That’s why it wasn’t flexed. Quite the sign of how things have changed for #NYJ. Wanted by two networks." / Twitter
Keep the games early so my evenings are free. I need the cover of darkness to break into neighboring houses.
I took December 12th off as a vacation day. Bills game staying at 1 PM allows me to travel to Buffalo if no snow and not single digit weather. I for one am happy for this.
OMG my biggest gripe. Any time I had to record the game and watch a bit latter....my phone would blow up with txt msgs: "hahah Jets SUCK!!!!" Sometimes I wouldn't even bother watching. I learned along the way to SHUT MY PHONE OFF at 1pm and NOT turn it back on until after I watched the game!
Warm socks with a spare pair in case they get wet, nice warm gloves, parka with a good hood in case you need to cover your ears *and* nose. Thermos full of hot tea with a spoonful of honey and 1% milk. That's the way to enjoy a game in potential lake weather. Wind is a bitch.
haha yeah or just shut the text notifications off. Thats what Im going to do, but I have no experience with the NFL plus app. I’ll do a trial run at home this weekend. The alternative is DVRing it and watching it in my cable station app, but the quality of that is meh. If I was able to skip this I would but its the biggest session of the year where groundbreaking research is revealed. Gotta see it.
