Before the season started Vegas set over under for this team at 5.5 games. We are at 7 wins already and looking forward to meaningful December games. Who would have thought? It really does feel good. 2015 was the last year we played meaningful games in December and before that it was 2011. Wow. What a painful stretch. Those dark days are over. This team is being built in the right way and foundation is strong. Like I told at the tailgate today to my good friend @GreenFan15J , we will now have a solid 10 years ahead of us where Jets will be relevant come December. Future is bright folks. Enjoy the ride!
All we need are faster LBs. I think we should also give Huff and Clemons more PT on the edges on passing downs.
Boss. Sometimes, the scheme solves your problems. I believe in Saleh and Ulbrich regarding defense. As long as we have consistent QB play where offense is not a liability, we will be in a every single game in years ahead.
Last night I was contemplating making the trip to MetLife - I told my buddy let’s see what the morning brings. I woke up and shit you not, actually felt guilty if I didn’t go. So we made the ride down and despite the weather, it was probably one of the funnest games I’ve been to in recent memory. It also helps when we bought corner end zone seats 9 rows off the field for $44 a pop off StubHub. It’s fun again. PS… can we please tear down the rest of horse track grandstands before our only “prime time” game? Imagine the overheard view on the pregame broadcast and seeing that monstrosity. Holy shit is that ridiculous. You can put a camera crew in front of it and pretend you are reporting live from Ukraine.
I think this team is way ahead of schedule. The draft was for sure going to be a LB in the first round.
They had Huff in with Lawson rushing third downs most of the game, they were using Clemons a lot on early downs.
And the Jets can improve their defensive weaknesses next season without spending much $$. The D could be even better next year. Imagine that AND average to above average QB play.
They looked pretty slow at times today. Tackling was a bit sketchy as well but they made plays when they had to. I think younger and faster LBs that know how to wrap up would make this defense Elite. We're almost there.
And that's why this is so much better than 2015. That team, if they won against Rex and the Bills was a one and done team at absolute best. THIS team, on the other hand, was designed the right way. Lots of young talent and a system in place whereby we'll always be replenishing talent rather than signing expensive free agents. JD is creating his own talent factory. That's something that's never been seen on the Jets.
Who is going to watch that game besides Jets and Jags fans ? I assume NFL wanted to see top draft QBs going against each other, but i don't think Zack is coming back.
Feels strange doesn't it? We're used to debating who we should take with a top 5 pick by this time of the year.
But wait Zach Wilson still has a winning record as a QB and weighs 224 pounds, oh wait now it's 214 OMG. You're incorrect though, it's everyone around him that's failing him. Starting with MLF. It's not Zach's fault. It's not like Mike White did anything great you hater. Sarcasm btw.
