Was at the game today after a great tailgate. Pouring rain started towards end of 1st quarter and I came home soaked in water but it was worth it. This win felt so good, I can't event describe it. Mike White, I love you dude. Please put a few games like this together and be our savior going forward. Saleh, I am sorry for ever doubting you. it was good we got the win but it feels like we are as far removed as ever from settling on a true franchise QB. Given how bad Chicago's defense is was this the right game to shut down ZW? If ZW had played and played well and we got this result then it gives us something to possibly build on - I don't know what this does long term. Mike White might turn out to be a quality NFL starter and a franchise QB which is what we need - I mean anything is possible right?
This day goes to Elijah Moore. MW really snuck in a pass behind the defense and that allowed Moore to do his thang. sure, GW is a number 1 and MW is great. Bam knight got his chance. Moore was the one who made today happen with his trade request.
The search will continue this offseason, but hopefully they trade Zach to a new environment and get a kid in here that can sit and learn behind MW for a year or two.
That play was like pick your poison with all of the weapons on the field, I had almost forgotten about them while Zach was... playing. They said White had hit 10 different receivers in the first half.
Can you imagine how demoralizing it is for those guys running around all game, but knowing they weren’t going to get the ball?
