Yes, but now he looks foolish for not having played him (particularly the first three games of the season). And he looks that way for a good reason - it was foolish.
Word on the street was that it was very apparent in practice. Zach wasn't hitting his throws there either. Front office trying to save face falls on same...
Lawrence isn't living up to his billing, but he's on a bad team, and he's improved from last year. If the Jags can put something halfway decent around him, he can be their franchise guy.
I don't see people talking about how much FUN the offense was having out there today. They were jumping around and celebrating with (and FOR) each other all game. Obviously much of that is simply just making plays and winning, but to me it felt like more than just that. They were just a very happy, playful unit today, which speaks volumes.
They're all finally getting rewarded for doing their job. It seemed like everyone on offense got fed today!
My personal gut feeling is we’ve seen the last of Zach Wilson as a starter for the Jets. Have a feeling his trajectory is that of Josh Rosen.
Only ones blaming Mlf now are Wilson's fan boys, the Milf, Wilson(mr it's everyones fault but mine), and Wilsons family. Everyone sees this guy can call a good game and will only get better. He is creative and when you watch him talk you see he is really smart about football.
Really. If this offense is supposed to be the kind a guy like Zach would thrive in he’s failing miserably.
Harrington got 4 seasons of sinking the Lions before his time was up and they sucked for a bunch of seasons after that.
Worse Josh Rosen wasn't given the talent Zack has, you saw how good Garret and Elijah Moore are today, to bad they couldn't display it in the 2nd half as the Jets were a runaway train and ran the ball.
He's not a good QB. If the Jets wanted to make something out of him they really needed to do something much more straightforward like an Erhardt-Perkins heavy on the ground game and play action. Every time I saw him in the shotgun I shuddered and the empty backfield was nauseating.
Because all that talent oozing out of his pores makes his hands slippery, causing him to sail some throws and dirt others.
If Zack is playing this game 99% chance Jets Lose this game, Zack would never had led the Jets to a opening drive touchdown, I don't remember last time he did actually, with them being down 10-0 they would be deflated and Chicago would keep running the ball which they were doing succesfully. Jets would get deflated at some point with Zack not being able to move the ball and eventually lose with the defense tired from all the Bears running.
True, and apparently this went all the way back to camp. The team was seeing one thing and the coaches were doing something else. The WR room may have been on the verge of a revolt.
The fact that the Jets had a few come from behind wins was a smokescreen. He sucks. I won't be letting it go any time soon that Wilson should've been benched the last series of the 3rd Q to be nice, the beginning of the 3rd Q to be brutally professional. Saleh really blew that. I was so irritated I still have a full body rash a week later.
All Game the commentators were saying words like "quick", "descive", "poise", for Mark White, when is the last time the commentator said that about Zack all game?
