The past 3 weeks Allen threw 6 interceptions, 4 in the red zone, and fumbled a sure win in the end zone in what was a sure win. If that was Zach the media as well as Jet fans would be calling for his head. With a win next week vs.Patriots, we would be in first place in afc east with wins over Bill's & Dolphins & Patriots.

Who cares? Allen will likely go to the playoffs again which will make it 4/5 of the seasons he’s been in the NFL. The leeway to being ripped apart is earned, not given automatically.

Wilson doesn’t get unfairly criticized. He gets criticized based on his performance every week because he hasn’t been established as a top notch player. You might as well insert Mahomes in your post every time you put Allen.

The comparison was to show that even the great quarterbacks have their bad days so let's give Zach some slack when he has his bad days

Nah it’s a dumb comparison. A great all world franchise QB (odds on favorite to win the SB by the way) having a bad day is different than a bad young QB having a bad day. One of which who has had more bad days than good days.

Nothing indicates Zach Wilson’s career is over or he can’t be a good QB. But these comparison threads and statements to guys who are on the road to getting gold jackets are dumb. The same statements can be made about any quarterback in the league. Should we give John Wofford more slack for being trash because Josh Allen had a bad day?

Allen has had a few tough weeks.

    Hope it continues.

Allen will get the benefit of the doubt because he has a track record of being elite. Zach, OTOH, will not because he doesn't.

I expressed a similar thought as the OP in the Around the NFL thread.
But I was comparing fans... not quarterbacks.

Browsing a Bills forum and it's amazing how many Buffalo fans blame everything but Josh Allen.

LoL!! Get over it, Allen is one of the top QBs in the league, Wilson stinks, hell even Geno Smith is having a great season, Jets are winning inspite of Zach period.

yeah I gotta pile on here too…these kinds of posts are kind of dumb, right?

Allen has proven to be one of the best QBs playing today…if and when Zach develops and delivers what Allen has, then he too will get the benefit of the doubt.

he hasn’t done it yet so he doesn’t get that benefit.

This is Allen's fifth season. He is a real good QB. and a class act. But earlier he was very prone to turnovers. Mahomes didn't play his first season. Rodgers sat early as well. It takes time to become a good leader. Enjoy the process.

If Zach played the first seven games like Allen and then had back-to-back bad games, Jets fans would most definitely not be calling for his head.

Well ZW has to get there first, to the elite status as Allen.
Allen tied the game and despite the INT nearly won the game. Yes some errant throws and costly INTs have doomed him.

    His elbow isn’t right either.

Did you see the fumble today on the one yard line? Wow!

I know Herbert has been injured, but has he regressed this season? He also has two star receivers out.

At what point do people start worrying about Allen in close games though.

2-9 in his last 11 one score games isn't ideal.

A lot of the young QB's have had uneven performances. Trevor Lawrence who was supposed to be a Football God has had a tough time. It was also unfortunate that in his first year he had a Head Coach that was worse than Adam Gase.

Who knows about that but what about bad coaching. Bad coaching lost that game and lost the KC playoff game.

I didn’t see the whole game, but didn’t Allen fumble a snap in his own end zone? If he doesn’t do that, the Vikings don’t go up in that game with under a minute to play. So that’s not on coaching that’s on execution of the most basic play in football…hiking the ball.

we’re there other coaching blunders earlier in the game?

Not kicking the field goal to go up by 13 then throwing a 4th down pick. That gave the Vikings huge momentum. Game over if they kick the field goal.

The Bills are having issues in that locker room. I could see it coming apart for them. I think the new coordinator and the players don't get along. Allen is showing signs of low energy and frustration.

reminds me a lot of the 2011 Jets who were everyone's choice to make the Super Bowl, they had a lot of veteran voices too. They lost some close games late and eventually imploded internally
