This is where I am. I still don't believe Zach is the answer based on the valley depths he's shown in his career thus far, but I want to be wrong and am really happy they won today with Zach doing some encouraging things - especially in the wake of a moment (last week's unbelievably bad showing) that could be a death knell to his career trajectory. Happy for the whole team that he played a positive role in the outcome of a huge win. They needed this.

Happens. Still, no happy feet. Set and throw. Or set and run. He had a huge scramble or two today. Fantastic from him.

I am still on the fence but more in the middle now because he played smart, within the scheme and stepped up in the pocket. I hope he continues to get better... enjoy the by we are 6-3 1/2 game out of 1st place.... this is a winning formula and we should stick to it. Also, kudos to OC for sticking with the run and DC and coaches for making 1/2 adjustments that contained Allen.

So where are we today in our bipolar opinion of Zach? We had 9 good games in a row followed by 3 bad games and now this good game against the best team in the NFL. My opinion again is don't overreact and don't jump the other way and get excited. It is just one game and one data point. The important thing here is he stopped a very bad and concerning trend today of bad play and he corrected some of the bad habits he has learned the last 3 games. he ran backwards a lot less today (only 2-3 times) and did not look to lost under pressure, he stepped up in the pocket a few times actually ran forwards for yards for 2 first downs similar to the style of play he exhibited the last 7 games of last year. He made quick reads, got rid of the ball fast and was decisive. He only had a few bad plays. The throw to Conklin where his feet looked set wrong, the high throw to Mims and the sack/fumble. It was an improvement and one data point. Let's see of he can do it two games in a row and see how much he learns against the Pats. If Zach plays well and beats the Pats in NE then I might be a lot more encouraged and think the optimistic Zach outlook might be more attractive.

If Zach is going to make some improvements and fix a lot of these flaws. It is likely to happen after this bye week. These next 9 games should be quite telling. But, regardless who cares about Zach we just beat the best F-ing team and Josh Allen. We are a legit very very good and well coached football team.

I'll give the kid credit where it's due. He played much better today. There's still a lot of work to be done to get to where he should be as a #2 overall pick, but I could clearly see that he learned from his mistakes last week and, for the most part, didn't make them again this week when the opportunity to do so presented themselves. Now if he can build on this performance over the bye and go into Belichick's house and take another step forward, we could be in business here.

    A Rating of 101.1 vs Allen's 46.8.

So even one of the top 3 QBs in his 4th year can have a bad game. I wonder how many Bills fans are calling for the Bills to look for a new QB?

    Perspective.

Wilson didn't run around like a chicken with his head cut off once. 34 rushes, quick 3 step reads, this is what they need to continue. Kudos to the CS for dumbing things down this week!

When Zach ran for that first, that was a huge step in the right direction; last week he totally boogered those opportunities. Continue this formula until forced not to, and hopefully by then Zach gains some confidence to drop back and take what the defense offers.

Two weeks to prepare for the Pats, they beat them in Foxboro and I'm a playoff believer. This defense is too damn impressive!

The win today is like 2+17=19% sweeter because we’re going into the bye after a huge win instead of a losing streak

Zach spent most of the game in the pocket. Looks like they learned a lot from last week.

Spot on. He showed today what he can do when he sets his mind right and follows the right sequence. If he continues down this path he will get nothing but better and better.

Where are the flags at 1:20 and 7:30 of the video? Both of these should have been half the distance to the goal and automatic first down. That probably cost us 8 points, and 4 at the very least plus more time off the clock on the last drive. First one was even later and harder hit than they called on JFM last time, which was a 10 point call. And second one clear as day helmet to helmet on the QB with the ref standing right in front of the play. How much more obvious does it get? Both of these were pretty critical plays. Bullshit refs again.

You kinda get the benefit of the doubt when you’re a perennial MVP candidate that leads your team to within ten seconds of winning the conference. I’d be a lot more patient with that kind of guy.

    Did you watch the game?

Boy, Zach only had a 72% completion percentage, 1 TD and 0 interceptions against the Bills. He's a BUST. It's CLEARLY time to start Streveler. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah, did you?

And yes, you'll be more patient with a guy like Allen, at the same time he wouldn't be that guy if the Bills hadn't shown him patience at the same stage of his career Zach is at.

I’ve been critical of his play. Does that make me a hater?

What a game!!! What a turnaround! And what a finish!

ZW again, doesn’t have to be throwing 300 yards, 3 TD passes every game though it be nice , but as long as he was effective, moving the chains and avoid the TOs (ok get did have one), he will keep getting the “W’s”. He was really solid and as many stated he learned from his mistakes and rebounded nicely! Defense was again good. But the biggest credit goes to the CS. They made adjustments, and made “believers” in this team.

Radical turnaround from last week.... he looked like he belonged on the field. Hopefully the upward trend continues
