You know, during most NFL games, the camera pans to the qb on the bench. Usually the qb is sitting with a coach looking at stills or a tablet and I assume is being "coached up" on the opposing defenses formations and tenancies.

Why is it that most times when the camera pans to Wilson he is sitting by himself watching the game?

Great video. He’s afraid to get hit. 19% completion rate when pressured lol

Lots of people are complaining that Zach “runs around like an idiot “ after the snap instead of stepping up in the pocket to throw. But isn’t that what all the off-platform fanboys wanted? Someone who could improvise and make these stunning plays? In my view the so-called off-platform shit is nonsense. If your QB can’t handle working from the pocket, and Zach clearly can’t, he’s pretty useless.

Supposedly he had a lousy day Wednesday too. Idk what’s with this guy, preseason his rookie year, he had rave reviews. Since then, it’s been downhill-more or less, save a few moments

Zach’s got some skills. But the game is clearly too fast for him right now. The question is whether he can keep it together and avoid sinking games long enough for him to catch up. It’s gonna take a couple of seasons and there’s no guaranty it’s going to happen.

That’s usually why the guys that can run around and absorb hits end up as successful passers in the modern day because they can do that long enough to stay alive for when they finally do catch up to the game speed.

The average height and weight for a NFL QB is 75" tall and 225lbs. Zach with his added muscle makes the average although I think 6'-3" might be a bit generous. His body has the mass to take punishment but it does seem he's just a bit brittle. I can see a David Carr syndrome coming in if Zach gets seriously injured again. He's already starting to look a bit shell shocked.

The Jets marketed him as the #2 pick from the moment of his pro day.

Everybody else was up in the air about who or if there were any high 1st rounders in the draft after Lawrence but when the Jets so openly fell in love with ZW they changed the conversation for everybody.

Since ZW was clearly going to be the #2 pick he was clearly worth the pick.

The fact that nobody in 2021 other than Lawrence was worth a high pick got lost in the QB fever that followed. The 49ers traded up for a guy with minimal playing experience and at low competition levels on the 3. The Bears took a guy that had played against great competition in college but who had glaring red flags all around him. The Pats took a guy who had started one season for the best team in college football and clearly had some composure but had the worst tools of all of them.

This was 2021. The 2020 college season was heavily impacted by the pandemic and everything that happened there should have been take with a large spoonful of salt. Previous seasons should have weighed more heavily in the decision making process and 2020 less than it did.

I was horrified when the Fins, the franchise I hate the most, was the only group that understood what was going on and traded down twice picking up huge value in the process.

The Jets instead did the opposite and bit hook line and sinker on a guy who was very unlikely to prove out in any situation but certainly even less so in the pressure cooker that is the Jets market and with the usual wild hoopla that we have seen multiple times over the last decade+ with an overdrafted rookie QB.

The Bills are a tough team with a very good defense.

While this game is a great opportunity for Zach to prove critics wrong it could ger ugly.

Either way it will be interesting to see if we make any adjustments after the bye week.

Some good points in the video, basically what we already discussed: at the slight sign of pressure, he runs back/side, and does not move within the pocket. It seems like majority of the problems are stemming from that. These are indeed bad habits that are not easy to get rid of.

With that said, I was looking at the guy's analysis, and at 7:30 of the video, Zach is not looking at the wheel, he is looking at the middle. If he had a split second more, he throws to wide open Berrios for minimum 8 yards, and slightly more time, there is GW for the first down. This could be on coaching as MILF and all Shanahan tree does like middle of the field a bit too much, but look at the pass pro. Brown is basically blocking Laken, while his guy just flies by right at Zach. I just can't blame this play on Zach, heck even coaching wasn't too bad, maybe wheel was the check-down. If Brown even barely chips his guy, it's 8 yards. It's plays like this why a young QB develops these bad habits to begin with, and Zach does have too much of these of now, which is concerning, there is no doubt about it now.

There’s no way he’s 225. I’d say he hovers at around 205 on a good day. He’s pretty lean.

Zach played well this game. This team's 2nd half performance this season is legendary.
