Yep..and in my opinion we can beat an opponent with our defense playing hard (with no dumb mistakes) and a strong running game featuring Robinson and Carter I would risk having Wilson pass maybe 30 % of the time or when we absolutely need a first down Pathetic ...JD gave us a decent team but the QB is...??
You can't win that way in the NFL. No team runs the ball 70% of the time. No team even runs it 50% of the time. You need to throw the ball in today's NFL to win. The passing game and defense is why we led at halftime.
Couple of points here....and I am sure on the first one I will be destroyed...but screw it. I have said this for years now and it gets worse and worse THROUGHOUT the NFL...BUT for the Jets and its "loyal crazy" fanbase...it doesnt add up. Went to the Bengal game with my two boys. They know me...I am old school. They know at 11:30 we pack up and go into the stadium. They are actually cool with it. So we sat there...and at 1250 I turned to them..they knew it was coming...and I said this is a fucking embarrassment. What does Saleh and the players really feel about the Jets? The place wasnt 50% full yet. At kickoff there were so many empty seats....My one son elbowed me and said look now..it was 1:30..and the place was almost full. When I heard Saleh say this week that at noon they would shoot off fireworks to REMIND people to get inside....I just laughed. He said when Sauce sacked Bridgewater 30 % of the crowd wasnt even in their seats. And security? BULLSHIT. LINES? BULLSHIT. I dont understand it. Again...I know I am an old dude now..but when I was in my 20s and 30s...we went inside the stadium NEVER less than 30 minutes before..we booed the other team practicing or coming out...full house. Ok...The game thread I made a comment about Wilson standing in the pocket and looking like his is searching for his parents in a crowded mall....then he scrambles out and makes mistakes. NOT DEFENDING HIM....I would drug test him thats how bad it was...jk....but I made a comment about something Chris Simms said about the NINERS offense...the Packers offense...and now the JETS offense....yes...i know he is a bit of an enabler for Zach....but it makes sense watching White...then Flacco...and Zach standing in the pocket with what seems no targets throw too. You can pick it up at the 6:35 mark. I know its a different time...I know I am probably in the minority as far as getting asses in seats....but hearing them defend it on t.v. on how hard it is to get in nowadays (the announces mentioned it also) ....that I have to say is BULLSHIT..Start 15 minutes earlier.
