Studs Entire defense and special teams once again, held them to 10 points (0 in the 2nd half). i'll shot out a few below but just because they weren't listed doesn't mean they didn't do good Sauce - just a stud every week. leads the NFL in PDs and had several good breakups including the final defensive snap to seal the game Echols - played great when he was on the field on D which was rare it seemed but downed a punt at the half yard line too joyner - big INT to keep momentum in our favor mann - did have 1 shank but also pinned 2 inside the 20 and averaged 54 per punt in a field position game. Greg the leg - perfect 3/3 on FGs on a windy day and 1/1 on XPs Breeece!!! - 60 yard TD run, the only jets TD of the day Mims - for having a good attitude and being happy to play and making key blocks downfield. berrios - for stepping up as always Coaching staff - this is the type of game we normally fold and lose and get demoralized. instead we faught until the end and won. 4 game win streak and 5-2 looks good right now. 4-0 with zach Duds Moore - for throwing a fit mid week and being forced to sit a game out. could have really used him Bad luck - losing AVT and hall for the year is awful. haven't had an update on davis zach - the situation sucked so not talking about his stats. nobody does well against that defense. but he missed way too many easy throws and was off the mark. he also has to learn to step up and not spin back out of sacks. also made 1 really dangerous throw across field across body.
Watch the game tape again -- Laken Tomlinson is a complete liability on this O-Line. Got beat all day long. At one point, it clearly appeared he had no idea what the snap count was & the interior D-lineman heads up on him ran straight passed him practically untouched.
@GasedAndConfused love these. Thank you. But Joyner was beat like a drum by Jeudy. The int was great. But he wasn't a stud
Like the list but to be brutally honest, Sauce was only a stud because he got away with so many jersey grabs. He could have just as easily cost us two first a goals on long passes (cost us the game). Sooner or later their going to start dinging him on those.
there did look to be some miscoomuncations. There was 1 play where i seen tomlinson and mcgovern double team 1 DT and the other DT came in free and that was likely on tomlinson. in the same sense him and DB opened a huge hole for breeces TD run. DB had a rough day too. broncos defense is very stout across the board. none of our lineman really had a good day
Stud - Gotta add DJ Reed, he was all over the place Dud - Jeff Smith had a drop, Ozumah the TE was meh
But it was completely legal...unlike the hits on Hall, ZW and GW to name three blatant ones that weren't called.
For Zach, it’s not so much that the stats were mediocre…I get that defense is legit. for me, it’s that he continues to miss throws he should make. his inaccuracy drives me up a wall and is more concerning every week it stays the same at or around 50% stats in a vacuum without context or for a short span of time like a game or two are not reliable…but at some point the sample size becomes large enough that the stats show who a guy is. and his completion rate was bottom of the league last year as a rookie on a bad team but it hasn’t gotten much better. not sure he’s a dud as we won and he didn’t cost us the game, but he’s GOTTA do better
Yeah in my mind its time now. Starting "right now" against the Patriots he needs to shift into a higher gear. Doesn't have to win every game, and we don't need video game stats but as you say... GOTTA do better. And if things don't start getting better I don't see how the Jets can't either bring in whatever the 23 version of Andy Dalton/Josh McCown is or even draft a new kid and have a competition for the job.
The O-line did not have a good showing on pass plays. Skimmed through the game this afternoon... there's a reason Zach was running around in the backfield. It wasn't all on him being a shitty qb... only some of it. Zach played behind a make-shift O-line... without Breece, AVT and Corey Davis for half the game... so I will cut him some slack... but too many of his throws are late and off target... which is troubling. We need him to be a whole bunch better in the next three weeks to have any chance to keep the win streak alive. Pats-Bills-Pats... oof... even Streveler would have trouble with that...
