Alot of teams deal with injuries like this….the Giants have lost lost a ton of guys, Miami….let’s face it with most teams if one key guy gets hurt like for instance Mahomes in KC it’s pretty much lights out.
What a demoralizing Jet news to hear after a win yesterday. Can’t lie that loss of these two guys doesn’t well, next man up!
This was not the news I was expecting. I mean I'd like to say I'm disappointed, but as a fan I've felt this before though not in a very long time. What a fucking blow.
Winning is not why were Jets fans. Being a Jets fan has always been about pain and suffering. Competing in 7 games straight and a 5-2 record to start a season is about as rare and big an accomplishment as others teams winning SB’s… What an amazing season this was, I for one am super pumped for the draft!!
Are you saying it is not too late to move up in draft position and maybe we should start looking at Tankathon? All kidding aside it has been a remarkable 7 game season and the best season in a long time. The first time we as Jet fans have felt hope and the possibility of a better future. We might only win a few more times this year but even if that happens it has been a good year with a lot of promise for the future. The rest of the year should be about developing Zach. If he can make progress, 2023 should be a promising season regardless of what our record ends up this year.
Becton AVT Mitchell Fant Brown All missed decent portions of the season already and now 2 out until next year. Tough tough tough luck that. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Yeah... there was something "in the air" alright... #99 of the Denver Broncos. Twice, that I saw, #99 DeShaun Williams... all 300 lbs. of him... lept up and swan-dived onto one of our players. Both were after the play was essentially over. The first was when G. Wilson was lifted off the ground by two Broncos... and #99 took a flying leap to belly flop on the pile. The second was on a Zach scramble where #99 did that bullshit again... while Zach was out of bounds. They are at the 4:45 & 6:25 marks in the video below. The league should be sent a tape of this nonsense... plays like that are designed to injure.
I gotta disagree here. Other than Moore, this team really seems to have their heads on straight. I actually think this may bring them even closer. They seem to rise to challenges. They also seem to 'get' the importance of division games, so I'm feelin' bullish about our chances against the Pats. The Bills may be a different story, but I expect them to give the Bills a fight. Lastly, I'm looking forward to see how Zach responds to this latest adversity. While he didn't play particularly well yesterday, I did like what he said in the huddle after Breece' injury. Something to the effect of it's 'time to grow a pair now.'
Ever the opportunist that I am, do you think this offseason is a good time to broach a contract extension with AVT? He might want the security after a season ending injury, and the Jets might want to try and get a better/more favorable deal than if they waited and he officially became the Pro Bowler we all know he is. Overall it could foster a good amount of goodwill between the player and the org. Just spitballing here on about as dark a day as is possible for a 5-2 team coming off a win... EDIT: Not sure if this is actually allowed - can rookie extensions can only be done after a player's 3rd year?
