Mims = Lou Gehrig (a bit of an exaggeration), I think he will play well and it will take an injury to get Moore back on the field.

in terms of Moore, it probably was a combination of immaturity and bad advice by his agent. However, this is football and he will get another chance at some point, hope he can make the most of it when it comes.

I really don't care in the slightest about any player's piety stats or what books they choose to read. Just as we strive for separation of church and state we should strive for separation of church and sports. Some people embrace such things, others build walls with them. These things may work for individuals but with the many, many horrible tales of religious frauds in world history how they paint themselves to the public is meaningless, what matters is inside their minds.

Whatever his conflict with the team is about and how it flared up now, it needs to be resolved and the groveling you suggest is unimportant to me; steps must be taken within the organization to find ways to deescalate these episodes rather than blow them, and the team, up.

I guess that's your opinion as well because you characterized it as educated, even though the easy button answer is that Moore is unhappy because his opportunities are being limited. In any event, there is plenty of evidence on this board that the opinion you support is in no way "unanimous," I'm not sure it is even shared by a majority.

"educated" means looking at the actual facts and making a determination. Saying that a player requested a trade because of the QB is speculation and not even educated speculation. It's what someone wants the problem to be because he doesn't like the QB. And you really can't tell what opinion is shared by the majority? You think an equal amount of people are claiming Moore wants out because of Wilson as there are people claiming Moore wants out because of his lack of targets?

stats without context have no meaning.
he started slow as a rookie and had a rookie QB growing with him who was struggling. by week 7 he hit a stride (6th game because he missed a week with injury) mike white was the QB. then in a span of 6 games with a bad o-line and QBs like white, flacco, and johnson and zach IIRC came back in his last game he had 472 yards, 35 catches, and 5 TDs. adjusted for a 17 game season thats 1,337 yards, 99 receptions, and 14 TDs. thats pro bowl level numbers. it would have been good for 7th most yards, 11th most receptions, and 2nd most TDs. then he got hurt. he was a top 5 WR statistically in the NFL during that 6 game span.

So I get were all mad at moore and yes he's out of line, but lets not diminish his talent level over it

It's all speculation! We weren't there. To classify one man's speculation as more "educated' than another's is arrogant. To call it "unanimous" is just plain wrong. We don't all need to agree.

Yeah, he would instantly be your WR1 and would be amazing with Rodgers. However, you better send a 1st Round pick as compensation!

I know you love semantics but I think most people understood the point. And the evidence is that you can point to 2 or 3 people saying this is Wilson's fault and about 100 saying this is Moore being selfish about his targets.

It is a well-known fact that Brady was playing for much less in NE than he was worth. I remember reading about other very good/great NE players taking less money to re-sign with NE over what they were offered in FA.

I would LOVE it if Mims has a great game, and goes on to be an invaluable starter for the Jets the rest of his career (ala Gehrig and Wally Pipp), but will be surprised if that happens.

What point am I missing. I didn’t even mention Moore in the thread you are referencing. I do agree and did say on another thread I was very disappointed in the way he did it, but I don’t disagree with him wanting to play and get more looks. He is a warrior and damned good at it. I’m still not convinced that his strength is the long side routes that MLF puts him in.

And you say that with the confidence that those are the only two opinions here? You don't believe that there are a whole bunch of people who understand that both factors probably come into play as well as a handful of others? There have been dozens of posts here pointing the finger at LaFleur - are they all uneducated?

Many of us look to the big picture and will consider multiple causes for the effect that has reared its ugly head this week; trying to protect an individual from evaluation at all costs only leads to selective blindness.

And saying that every single person here, which is the definition of unanimous, agrees with you is, arrogant and just plain wrong - and that's not semantics.

Why is it so hard for you and some others to have their opinions challenged?
