You have that sequence all wrong. They didn't run out the clock they had to kick a field goal. I think they were trying to score a touchdown but maybe the Jets are the only team that doesnt try to score touchdowns and you are right. Logic & all
You and i have def disagreed on a lot but we both agree it needs to be better. I think this team can make a deep run this season if they get it together. They can beat Buffalo, we can play them well and win. They can beat KC. The offense can be better period. Its worked but it can be better. Imagine if they play 4 full quarters....hell 2 and a half!!!! They know theyre not playing to their potential now as a team.
Oh yeah--that irked me as well--I was thinking run on 3rd/run on 4th in that situation keeping the clock running. First down keeps Pack off field and didn't we receive the 2nd half KO? Would have kept the Pack O on bench for an hour.
You have some good points but your conclusions are way off. I do think we need to get off to better starts. It has taken Lafleur a while to settle in but he has also done a good job of setting-up the offense later in the game. It is not a coincidence we are strong in the fourth quarter. We are on a three game winning streak can we please enjoy it and concentrate on the Broncos? I do not care if win games by one point or 100 I just want to win and we are winning.
They also screwed up playcalling/quarterbacking badly before the half in Pittsburgh as well and it cost points, nearly the game. Up 10-3 you have a 1st down with 1 minute left at the opponent's 28 yard line. How in the hell does it become 10-6 at the half? 2 predictable plays and then a strange deep pass to a special teams player at WR
And i dont think youre wrong for that sentiment. I also want the wins, but my point is this....wouldnt you like to be that dominant team that people fear? Dont you want that respect the Bills and Chiefs get? Were right there and it can happen sooner than any of us imagined. I thought this would be a solid team, but even i didnt anticipate them coalescing this quickly. They can destroy opponents. The feeling that this team walks into a game and you feel like theyre not losing this game period, a feeling we havent had in a very long time. Again, a bold stance to take that MLF "isn't using guys right" while having a team that is top 10 in scoring so far this year. Wouldn't this argument you're trying to make be more valid if the YPG and Scoring rankings were reversed? Shouldn't we be higher in YPG than Scoring if all these stats were accumulated in garbage time during the first 3 weeks? Especially considering we scored 9 and 12 points in our first and third games this year? We just put up 40 for the first time (38 offensively as they got a safety) since 2018 2 weeks ago to the Dolphins. We just put up 27 (20 offensively) against the team allowing the 5th fewest yards per game on defense. I've already agreed with you that MLF can be better. I've watched every game this year and think I have a decent amount of football knowledge, so please don't act like you're more knowledgeable about this offense and how it can improve than I am. I'm far from being a professional scout/talent evaluator but I'm sure the same can be said for you. If you want to discuss how MLF and this offense can improve, I'm here for it but I'm not going to discuss things with someone who comes into a conversation thinking they're the smartest guy on the board. The passing attack and MLF's playcalling in certain situations has to improve but you have to give MLF credit for implementing successful gameplans. Just because we're not winning games the way you think we should doesn't mean MLF is a bad OC.
Last year he was requesting a trade because the coaching staff has a personal vendetta against him. This year it's because of Zach Wilson. My how times have changed.
No one calls a perfect game but the PACK first half situation was there for the taking IMO. I have to say I don't recall the Pitt sequence well--3 weeks ago in NFL is like years unless a stupendous play happened. You got a good memory.
Saleh and MLF have a job to do. One they've been fairly successful with this year. Win games. Catering to Elijah's demands on how he should be used in this offense probably isn't at the top of their priority list, as it should be.
We won by scoring more points than the other team. The defense played very well against Miami and put us in great positions most of the day. But make no mistake, the offense scored those points.

Hardly bold and you neglect one thing......the dolphins almost took the lead as late as the 3rd quarter. The jets were not blowing them out of the water until late in the 3rd and 4th. So please stop acting like the offense was humming it wasnt. Ypg is shit and so is your point using it. They trailed in the first 3 games and threw it more, that where the bulk of those yards come from. Its dumb to act like thats a relevant stat in this situation, its simply not. They are garbage yards. 27 points did not come from the offense and ok they allowed th 5th fewest yards........how many yards did the jets have? This offense is not moving the way it should thats on the OC. 6 of those 27 points came on a busted play Hall toom off on, thaylt was an individual effort making the most of bad situational football. Moore has a 30% go route rate. Thats a harder throw to make for a guybhis size, not to mention if Zach has to throw it across the field, that 40 yards is now more akin to 55!!!!!
